Sophie Turner and Joe Jonas welcome first child, baby girl named Willa
Singer-songwriter Joe Jonas and his wife 'Game Of Thrones' actress Sophie Turner had never confirmed or denied reports that they were looking forward to welcoming a new family member home. However, from the first reports of Turner being pregnant to recently, speculations about the gender of the baby, gossip surrounding the couple's first child have been rampant. The good news is: The couple welcomed their first child home together!
According to TMZ, Turner gave birth to her child on Wednesday, July 22, at a hospital in Los Angeles, and that the baby's name was revealed to be "Willa". Turner was spotted in LA, the week before she reportedly gave birth, and she looked like was ready to "pop".
It wasn't until May 2020, that the 24-year-old-actress revealed her baby bump in public when she was spotted with Jonas, 30. Most recently, a week before the birth of her child, she was spotted out and about with Jonas. Neither UK-born actress nor the musician has shared an official statement regarding the birth of their baby as of now.
Until not very long ago, fans believed that the couple was expecting a baby boy together. According to a report in E!News, sources were quoted as saying, "Sophie and Joe picked up several "boy toys" such as action figures, boy pilot and NASA costumes and Sophie was saying how cute everything was. It seemed like they were only interested in male items."
Another source was also quoted as saying, "The whole Jonas family is looking forward to showering the new addition with love. Sophie is due soon and can't wait to be a mom."
Jonas also spoke about his life during lockdown with Turner in an interview with Andy Cohen and said, "I think for us, it is nice to have each other during this time, but I think it can be (different) for a lot of different people. We got married last year, so naturally just wanting to be together, it's a really special time."
Jonas and Turner got married in May 2019, right after the Billboard Music Awards and this came as a surprise to fans. The couple had a more traditional ceremony a month later in France. Turner was also a part the Jonas Brothers single video 'Sucker', which also featured Kevin Jonas and Nick Jonas' respective partners Danielle Jonas and Priyanka Chopra Jonas.
