Jim Carrey issued a warning to Senator Mitch McConnell just hours before he sailed through the Republican primary in his home state of Kentucky, saying his “senatorial infestation” will end in November this year.

Jim took to Twitter to share a painting of a slug-like McConnell placed in front of an oncoming lawnmower. “It’s comin’ Mitch! Soon all greedy garden pests and political invertebrates will be mowed down,” he wrote alongside. “Your Senatorial infestation ends in 2020.”

Check out the tweet here.

While the Senate Majority Leader is yet to face a challenge from a Democratic opponent who has not been confirmed as yet, he had no problem winning the Republican primary on Tuesday.

McConnell has, over the course of the campaign, focused his efforts on attacking Amy McGrath, a retired Marine combat pilot who is being considered the front-runner for the Democratic nomination in Kentucky.

But Democrat state lawmaker Charles Booker's campaign appears to have gained significant momentum in recent weeks, especially after his fervent support for and involvement in the Black Lives Matter movement, coupled with various high-profile endorsements.

That said, Carrey appears optimistic that McConnell will be defeated despite his formidable record.

The 'Sonic the Hedgehog' star has spent the last two years creating offensive and provocative artwork, which mostly involves slamming the Trump administration, his supporters, or other Republican leaders.

McConnell has previously been depicted by the Hollywood star as causing greater loss of life than 9/11 mastermind Osama Bin Laden, as well as McConnell and some other prominent senators eating "shit sandwiches" while Trump sits on the toilet tweeting.

Earlier this month, the 'Ace Ventura: Pet Detective' star posted a sketch of what appeared to be Russian President Vladimir Putin holding the US Air Force One aircraft. "Be wary of diplomatic missions to Moscow prior to the November elections. Given the list of possible indictments he faces, Traitor Trump may be the first American President to defect," he wrote alongside.

Back in January, Carrey vowed that he was done with cartoons that bashed Trump and other members of his administration. "I've said what I need to say, and I've allowed it to inhabit my body and cause whatever low vibrations do to a body," he said. "You know, I sounded my yelp, I warned people, and that's enough. They know how I feel. So I'll vote in November, and that's that. If the wheels come off the wagon completely, then I'll meet them in the street. But I'm not going to waste another moment of my time with a narcissist, President… what's his name again?"

However, the actor could not stick to his promise for long as he was back posting his creations just months later. In March he tweeted, "Trump is willing to risk countless lives to save his economic record. He has fully become the mayor from 'Jaws'," along with a painting of an angry Trump shouting at a bunch of people.

Having said that, the 'Dumb and Dumber' star has previously admitted that his politically themed artwork is his way of dealing with the “pain” of the Trump presidency. “I feel feelings, and that’s the only way I can deal with them is to turn them into something positive,” he revealed in 2018. “All pain equals art.”
