Jill Biden apparently invited a bunch of congressional spouses to the White House for a social event but barred anyone who's unvaccinated from eating or drinking.

MEAWW previously reported how the FLOTUS raised eyebrows after introducing Vice President Kamala Harris as the "President" during a Black History Month celebration event at the White House on Monday, February 28. Realizing her mix-up, she claimed she was joking after correcting herself. We also reported how she faced pushback for saying that being the First Lady was a “little harder than I imagined."

As reported by Western Journal, freshman Florida Congressman Byron Donalds's wife Erika -- a pro-Trump Republican -- shared a screenshot of the First Lady Biden's Covid-19 guidelines for the event. “First Lady Jill Biden was kind enough to invite me & the other Congressional spouses to a reception at the White House,” she wrote on Twitter. “I just have to take a COVID test, & as an unvaccinated person (with natural immunity) I won’t be allowed to eat, drink, or talk to anyone. Should be a blast!”

The screenshot of the White House invitation had the following guidelines, “Fully vaccinated guests are not required to wear a mask on the White House grounds. Guests who are not fully vaccinated must wear a mask at all times, including abstaining from eating or drinking, and maintain at least 6 feet distance from others while on the White House grounds.” In a nutshell, those unvaccinated were invited to attend the event but couldn't eat and drink anything.

It's worth noting that several Republican leaders have been reluctant in taking the Covid-19 vaccine after deeming it "experimental" and upholding "medical freedom." That said, the setup for congressional spouses is reportedly different than guidelines for the general public. The White House announced last week that it would restore tours for visitors without any "stringent masking requirements for random members of the public to visit the first lady’s home,” the Journal noted.

“The White House will continue to closely monitor the COVID-19 situation with guidance based on recommendations from the CDC, and other public health officials and medical experts, and reserves the right to adjust the availability of the public tours as necessary to adhere to the latest health guidance,” read a statement on the White House website. “Within the 10 days prior to the public tour, anyone who has tested positive for COVID-19, has had any COVID-19 symptoms, or been in close contact with someone confirmed or suspected to have COVID-19, should stay home,” it noted, adding, “Face masks will be available when entering the White House complex for those who choose to wear them.”

Considering, the Journal concluded that tourists "visiting the capital for Spring Break can forsake masks should they so choose, vaccine status notwithstanding, but unvaccinated political spouses must mask up and avoid eating, drinking or getting within 6 feet of another human being if they haven’t gotten the jab.”
