Sabrina Carpenter's artistic evolution

Carpenter, known for her role in the 2014-17 Disney Channel comedy 'Girl Meets World' spoke about her latest album, 'Emails I Can't Send' and the growth it signifies for her.

The album, repackaged as 'Emails I Can't Send Fwd', marked a shift in Carpenter's career as she signed with Island Records after parting ways with Disney-owned Hollywood Records.

The singer, now 24, reflected on the newfound creative freedom with Island Records, allowing her to craft the album she had always dreamed of making.

Delving into the politically sensitive reasons behind her earlier creative limitations, Carpenter emphasized the maturity and perspective she gained with time.

Sabrina Carpenter's chart-topping triumph in pop storytelling

Moreover, 'Emails...' emerged as Carpenter's highest-charting album yet, showcasing her prowess as a pop storyteller. Collaborating with songwriters like Julia Michaels, JP Saxe, and Leroy Clampitt, she blended R&B-infused sounds with conversational lyrics, exploring themes of heartbreak and self-discovery.

In the aftermath of the video, the Brooklyn Catholic church priest was removed from administrative duties for allowing the blood-soaked video shoot. Nevertheless, Carpenter, undeterred, maintains that all necessary approvals were obtained and humorously reminds critics, "Jesus was a carpenter," Variety reports.
