‘Jersey Shore’ cast Then and Now: The incredible journey of the stars of popular MTV show
‘Jersey Shore’ Cast: Where are they now?
'Jersey Shore' was broadcast on MTV from December 3, 2009, to December 20, 2012. The show provided a close-up view of the lives of eight housemates as they vacationed in various locations including Seaside Heights in New Jersey, South Beach in Florida, and Florence in Italy. Almost ten years after the original show’s premiere, the majority of the cast came together again in 2018 for the spinoff, 'Jersey Shore: Family Vacation'. Sammi 'Sweetheart' Giancola, one of the cast members, was conspicuously missing in the new edition but made a grand comeback in 2023's Season 6. Here's a look at how the show's castmates have transformed over the years.
Paul 'DJ Pauly D' DelVecchio
At 29, DelVecchio was the oldest member of the cast when 'Jersey Shore' first aired. Known for his numerous romantic liaisons throughout the show, he never committed to a long-term relationship. In June 2013, he became a father to a daughter, Amabella Sophia, with Amanda Market. After appearing on E!’s 'Famously Single', DelVecchio had an on-and-off relationship with Aubrey O’Day from 2015 to 2017. Since 2020, he has been in a relationship with Nikki Hall, whom he met on MTV’s 'A Double Shot at Love'. DelVecchio has been a regular on 'Jersey Shore: Family Vacation' since its inception in 2018.
Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi
Polizzi, known for her lively spirit, joined 'Jersey Shore' at the age of 22, ready to enjoy the party life. She quickly formed a close bond with Farley. In the third season, she met Jionni LaValle at a club and they hit it off. Their relationship blossomed in the fourth season, leading to their engagement in March 2012 and marriage in November 2014. The couple welcomed their son Lorenzo in 2012, daughter Giovanna in 2014, and son Angelo in May 2019. Polizzi, the author of 'Confessions of a Guidette', announced in December 2019 that she was leaving the show to spend more time with her children. However, after missing the fourth season of 'Jersey Shore Family Vacation', she made a comeback as a full-time cast member in the fifth season in 2022.
Mike 'The Situation' Sorrentino
Sorrentino, also known as “The Situation,” became a part of 'Jersey Shore' at the age of 27. His tenure on the show was marked by numerous disputes with his fellow cast members. He confessed to his struggle with drug addiction and entered rehab for treatment. In 2014, he faced legal troubles when he was indicted for tax fraud, leading to an eight-month prison term. After his release, he married Lauren Pesce. The couple welcomed their first child, Romeo, in May 2021, and their daughter, Mia, was born in January 2023, per Us.
Deena Nicole Cortese
Cortese, a close friend of Polizzi, had initially auditioned for 'Jersey Shore' but didn’t make it. However, she joined the cast in the third season, introducing herself as “a blast in a glass.” In 2017, she tied the knot with Chris Buckner. The couple has two children together: Christopher, who was born in 2019, and Cameron, who was born in 2021.
Ronnie Ortiz-Magro
Ortiz-Magro, who joined 'Jersey Shore' at 24, had frequent arguments with Giancola and Sorrentino. He and his girlfriend Jen Harley welcomed a daughter, Ariana Sky, in April 2018. Their relationship was stormy, with both accusing each other of physical abuse. Ortiz-Magro spent a month in treatment for alcoholism and depression. The couple parted ways in October 2019 after an altercation at an LA Airbnb, which resulted in a plea deal and a 36-month probation for Ortiz-Magro. In May 2020, he accepted another plea deal, leading to 30 days of community labor and a $20K donation to a women’s shelter. In May 2021, Ortiz-Magro took a step back from 'Jersey Shore: Family Vacation', a month after being arrested and released on a $100K bond in LA. In June 2021, he proposed to his girlfriend, Saffire Matos, whom he felt was "the One pretty much early on in their relationship," a source told Us.
Jenni 'JWoww' Farley
Farley was 23 when she first stepped into the 'Jersey Shore' house. She was in a relationship at the time, but it didn’t last long. During the third season, she crossed paths with Roger Mathews at Karma, a popular nightclub in New Jersey, and they instantly clicked. The couple tied the knot in October 2015 and were blessed with a daughter, Meilani, in July 2014, and a son, Greyson, in May 2016. Farley shared in November 2018 that her son had been diagnosed with autism. She filed for divorce in September 2018 and started dating wrestler Zack Clayton Caprinello in April 2019. After a temporary breakup, Farley announced in March 2021 that Caprinello had proposed and they were engaged. In 2023, she hinted at the possibility of eloping abroad with him, according to People.
Angelina Pivarnick
Pivarnick became a part of the show at 23 but struggled to bond with the rest of the cast. She often found herself in conflicts with many cast members, leading to her leaving the house on several occasions throughout the series. Despite this, she made a comeback for 'Jersey Shore: Family Vacation'. In November 2019, she tied the knot with Chris Larangeira but they filed for divorce in February 2022, citing "irreconcilable differences" that led to a “breakdown of the marriage for a period of at least six months.” Not long after, Pivarnick entered a relationship with Vinny Tortorella, who popped the question in an April 2023 episode of 'Jersey Shore: Family Vacation'.
Sammi 'Sweetheart' Giancola
When Giancola moved into the house at age 22, she was referred to as the "sweetest bitch." She dated Sorrentino for a short while before choosing Ortiz-Magro. After a rocky relationship, they called it quits. In 2017, Giancola reportedly began dating Christian Biscardi, who proposed in 2019. But the wedding was delayed due to the pandemic, and by July 2021, they had decided to split. Since then, Giancola and Justin May have moved on. She was absent for the first five seasons and reappeared in summer 2023 for season 6.
Vinny Guadagnino
Guadagnino started 'Jersey Shore' at age 22 and soon became close friends with DelVecchio. Despite hosting 'A Double Shot of Love', a dating show, neither of them was able to find love. He disclosed that he lost weight on a ketogenic diet when he began a guest dancer stint at Chippendales in Las Vegas in 2019. He reportedly flirted with Gabby Windey on 'Dancing With the Stars' in the fall of 2022 and said they had a lot of connection, but they didn't end up together. In August 2023, Windey disclosed that she was dating Robby Hoffman.
