Born on May 19, 1990, Jermall Charlo began his professional career at the age of 17 with a four-round decision win over Corey Sommerville on December 8, 2007. Meanwhile, in 2008, he scored an impressive win over Jesus Villareal in three rounds and went on to win the match against Dwayne Jones after scoring a first-round TKO in June.
During the annual WBC Convention, it was announced that Charlo would fight John Jackson for the vacant WBC light middleweight title. For the first seven rounds of the match, Charlo was being completely outclassed by his opponent and could only win one round. However, in the eighth round, Charlo hit Jackson with a right hand to the head followed by two lefts as Jackson turned away to adjust his mouthpiece and failed to keep his guard up.
Charlo has been the WBC middleweight champion since 2019.
Juan Macias Montiel
The professional boxer from Mexico started his professional career in 2009 and won the match against Ruben Longoria by knocking him out. The 27-year-old boxer stands at a decent height of 6 feet and 1 inch. As of now, he has fought 28 fights and emerged victorious in 22 of them by knockouts.
