Jenson Button and former Playboy model Brittny Ward are engaged
Former Formula One driver Jenson Button went down on his knee and popped the big question to his girlfriend of two years, Brittny Ward. The former Playboy model announced the engagement news to her fans by sharing a romantic snap. The pair looked a lot in love with both of them looking lovingly at each other. She captioned the picture as "soon to be Mrs. Button" along with a ring emoji.
Jenson recently bought a £5million mansion in Los Angeles and it is believed that he and Brittny will be moving into the house after the wedding. He was previously staying at a rented house in Monaco. Jenson and Brittny have not shied away from flooding their social media with posts about each other. On Jenson's 38th birthday Brittany took to her social media to wish him with a sweet message.
"Happy birthday to my favorite human being! You’ve shown me the type of love that I thought only existed in silly fairy tales," she wrote. "I can’t believe I’ve captured my very own unicorn. Never letting go."
The pair has been dating since March 2016, just three months after his split from model wife Jessica Michibata was confirmed. Jenson and Jessica split in December 2015. The pair had been married for one year.
The couple released a statement at that time which said that they had decided to part ways on good terms and there wasn't anyone else involved.
"Jenson and Jessica have decided to go their separate ways and it is very amicable. There is no-one else involved," the statement read, as reported by Daily Mail. Jenson and Jessica first met in 2008 in a hotel bar in Tokyo.
The two soon felt an instant connection and eight months later they started dating. The couple briefly split in 2011 but got back together later that year. In 2014, Jenson popped the big question to Jessica with a ring worth £250,000. Unlike conventional marriages, Jenson revealed that he and Jessica did not live with each other. "We don't see each other any more than before we were married," he told the tabloid in their 2015 interview.
Jessica shared a flat with her mother in Tokyo while Jenson lived in tax haven Monaco. "Jessie still works a lot in Japan," he explained. "She enjoys her job, she models, she had a television show and has done a Japanese film. She enjoys working, which is great, but it obviously means that we don’t see each other very often."
However, Jessica had always made time supporting her then-husband by cheering for him from the sidelines during his race. Just like Jenson, Jessica has also moved on and is a proud mother of her baby girl named Joy who she welcomed in October 2017.
