Jennifer Lopez shows Shakira how to shake her booty in throwback Super Bowl rehearsal video
It has been three months since the Super Bowl where Jennifer Lopez and Shakira made a memorable performance. And now, JLo is taking her fans and followers behind the scenes of that phenomenal performance.
On Saturday, May 2, the 'Get Right' singer took to her Instagram handle to share footage of her and her fellow headliner Shakira rehearsing before the Super Bowl LIV halftime show that had taken place in Miami.
She captioned the video, "I can’t believe it’s already been 3 months since the #SuperBowlLIV #Halftime Show! So much has happened since then, but I wanted to share a fun peek behind the scenes at our first rehearsal with the dancers and @Shakira."
The post has a series of video clips that show JLo practicing her performances of 'Jenny from the block' and 'Let's Get Loud' with backup dancers. She was also seen sharing some booty-shaking tips with Shakira that her mother had taught her.
In the video, JLo can be heard explaining to Shakira, "I do it with my knees. I shake my knees. You shake your knees and your butt goes." She also jokingly told Shakira, "My mom taught me that when I was 4." The two had put on a spectacular performance.
Some reports revealed that fans and followers were disappointed with their choice of attire during the event. Some people were of the opinion that their outfits were inappropriate at an event that families watch on television.
At the time, many took to social media to comment on the same. One such user shared, "The Superbowl is supposed to be an event families can watch together. Why, then, are we subjected to Shakira's constant twerking & J Lo's ultra-revealing outfits? Whatever happened to performers whose TALENT was entertaining instead of needing sex to keep people's interest?"
A second added, "What the fuck am I watching #SuperBowl halftime show. J lo can someone get her an outfit next time where it doesn't look like she has duct tape on her ass."
Recently, JLo shared some inspiring words on Instagram regarding coronavirus pandemic and lockdown. She shared a picture of herself on what looks like a trampoline and captioned the image, "In this time, when it's so easy to get down and think of all the things going wrong and what we don't have and don't know the answers to."
"I make it a habit to say three things I'm grateful for as soon as I open my eyes and then at night when I'm lying in bed I list three good things out loud that happened that day. Could be anything... and I try to change them so they are not the same every day. Stay positive and stay safe. Love you and miss you all... together we will soon be."
