Jennifer Lopez got married to Ben Affleck in an intimate affair in Las Vegas as confirmed by the songstress on Sunday, July 17. The duo tied the knot in a wedding chapel in Nevada with Jennifer’s child Emme, and Ben’s youngest daughter, Seraphina, in attendance. Jennifer, who first got engaged to Ben 20 years ago, apparently rushed to get married this time before the actor got cold feet.
The nuptials apparently took place at the last minute. Ben Affleck, according to sources, revealed the marriage plans to his ex-wife Jennifer Garner on Friday at the earliest. The ‘Batman v Superman’ actor’s ex-wife was soaking up the sun in Lake Tahoe over the weekend when she got the news. Speaking of Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck’s low-key wedding, the two celebrated the occasion on a plane back to Los Angeles while binging on pizza and sipping Diet Coke.

According to Page Six, Ben Affleck spilled his wedding plans to his ex-flame almost at the last minute. “Ben did tell Jen about the wedding, but I’m told that it was only Friday at the earliest”, said an insider further stating, “It was very, very minimally planned in advance and was largely spur of the moment. Violet stayed home because she’s extremely loyal to her mom.”
The insider also spilled the beans on why Jennifer Lopez now got married to Ben saying, ”[Lopez] has been ready to get married since the night that Ben proposed. She wanted to lock this down and remove any chance for cold feet ASAP!” JLo shares 14-year-old twins Emme and Max with ex-husband Marc Anthony, while Affleck shares three children with Garner: Violet, 16, Seraphina, 13, and Samuel, 10. Ben and Lopez dated earlier from 2002 to 2004 and even got engaged once before things got haywire between them.

Lopez and Affleck’s wedding might have been a low-key affair but apparently, the duo plans to throw a big party at the latter’s $7million mansion in Georgia. A source told People magazine they "plan on having a bigger party so they can celebrate with family and friends.” TMZ insiders said that the couple is planning to have the party at Ben's home in the coastal town of Riceboro, Georgia, which is just outside of Savannah.

In her newsletter, according to Deadline, Jennifer spoke about her wedding saying, “We did it. Love is beautiful. Love is kind. And it turns out love is patient. Twenty years patient. Exactly what we wanted.” An excited JLo continued, “Last night we flew to Vegas, stood in line for a license with four other couples, all making the same journey to the wedding capital of the world.”
She continued, “We read our own vows in the little chapel and gave one another the rings we’ll wear for the rest of our lives. They even had Bluetooth for a (short) march down the aisle” adding, “But in the end it was the best possible wedding we could have imagined. One we dreamed of long ago and one made real (in the eyes of the state, Las Vegas, a pink convertible and one another) at very, very long last.”
