'Daddy appreciation post': Jennifer Lopez shares Ben Affleck's shirtless photo on Father's Day as his ex Jennifer Garner pens brief tribute
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Jennifer Lopez posted a risque 'Daddy Appreciation Post' in honor of her husband, Ben Affleck on Father's Day, June 18. 'The Mother' star uploaded a series of photos, one of them included a mirror selfie of the 'The Flash' actor showcasing his ripped abs.
In the caption, Lopez wrote on Instagram, "Daddy Appreciation Post ✨ Happy Father’s Day Papa. And Happy Father’s Day to all the amazing Papas out there!! We love you and appreciate you more than you will ever know." The 53-year-old Hustlers actress also shared a short reel on Instagram, featuring moments with the 50-year-old Oscar winner.
'He is honestly the best dad I have ever seen!'
The pair tied the knot in July 2022, making Affleck a stepfather to Lopez's 15-year-old twins, Max and Emme, whom she had with ex-husband Marc Anthony. Affleck also has three children of his own – Violet, 17, Seraphina, 14, and Samuel, 11 – from his previous marriage to Jennifer Garner, who also penned a brief tribute to him.
Lopez's charming reel showed Affleck sitting in an office chair, flashing a cheerful smile. It then included a montage of their sweet moments together, including a throwback clip from their relationship in the early 2000s. The video showed Affleck wearing a white tank top and shades, gently kissing Lopez, who was dressed in an all-white ensemble and holding a cute puppy in her arms.
The couple initially dated in 2002, and got engaged in November of the same year but broke up in 2004. They rekindled their romance in April 2021 and got married in Las Vegas in July 2022, followed by a larger ceremony in August at Affleck's Georgia estate. The background voiceover on the reel featured Lopez gushing about Affleck being an "amazing dad" to their children during an appearance on 'The View' from May.
Lopez emotionally stated, "It brings tears to my eyes. He is honestly the best dad I have ever seen," and admitted her husband, "teaches me about how to interact with the kids. He’s such a brilliant guy anyway, like, he’s learned in so many things. You can just tell when he’s had his kids, he read every book and everything you could possibly learn about children, and he applies it." In a separate Instagram post, Garner, Affleck's ex-wife, also celebrated Father's Day and gave a shout-out to the actor. The '13 Going On 30' actress shared a photo of herself with her parents inside a church and humorously mentioned, "Happy Father's Day to the best to ever do the job. (Jeans in church— I made my connecting flight, but my luggage didn’t). We love you, Dad."
The mother of three, who was recently spotted kissing with her current boyfriend, John Miller, then paid tribute to her former partner, "PS Shout out to BGA," referring to him by his full name, Benjamin Geza Affleck. Garner wrote, "No one loves their kids like you love ours, happy Father’s Day, Ben!" The couple married in 2005 but finalized their divorce in 2018 after 13 years of marriage.
