With much of the US under lockdown owing to the deadly coronavirus outbreak, many children have had to switch to e-learning and virtual homeschooling with a little bit of assistance from their parents or guardians.

As a result, Jennifer Lopez, like several thousands of parents, is also learning first-hand that being a teacher is not easy.

Talk show host Ellen DeGeneres was able to get an insight into J.Lo's life with her fiance Alex Rodriguez and how the two are doing as stand-in teachers in a new interview.

DeGeneres took to Instagram on April 6 to tease the interview which is a part of her at-home edition. "Tomorrow we talk to the coolest homeschool teacher on the block. @jlo," she had said. In the video clip, she starts off by asking who is homeschooling the four children the couple share from previous marriages.

She also asked J.Lo who is helping out with the homework. The 'Get Right' singer, 50, responded saying, "I help with the homework." J.Lo revealed that the four children — her twins Emme and Max, 12, — and Rodriguez's kids — Natasha, 15, and Ella, 11 — are all doing virtual school currently.

"And so I stay more on top of Emme and Max about that," she shared. DeGeneres also asked J.Lo whether she was finding it easy to homeschool to which Lopez confessed, "Honestly I think we're all looking at it like, what is this?" with her hands on her head.

She then asked the talk show host whether she had "seen the Math that they have the kids do now?" and proceeds to describe it as "a new Math Ells Bells, it's a new Math. It's crazy."

She also revealed how there have been times in recent weeks where she was not sure how to help the children. "And so, you know, half the time I'm like, ok, yeah. Let's look up that word. What does that mean," she said with a laugh. "It's been an experience, for sure," she added.

On the full interview, J.Lo also gets candid about her wedding plans with Rodriguez and how the coronavirus pandemic has affected it.

"Honestly, I really don't know what's going to happen now ... as far as dates or anything like that," she said.

"We're just kind of in a holding pattern like the rest of the world. It's something that we'll have to wait and see in a few months how this all pans out," she said.

We had previously reported that Lopez was seen with Rodriguez stepping out of a Miami gym.

The pair had gone to workout on April 1 before  Florida Governor Ron DeSantis issued a statewide shelter-in-place in an attempt to contain the spread of the deadly virus that has gripped the world. Lopez looked stunning in a red crop top and matching red leggings with black and white designs all over them. She showed off her flawless figure and toned abs as she sported huge aviator sunglasses. The mother-of-two also winded her hair up into a bun while carrying her usual sparkly monogrammed water bottle. On the other hand, her partner Rodriguez wore a simple black cardigan and sweats over a charcoal t-shirt.
