Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez are preparing to marry this summer: Reports
Right now, Jennifer Lopez is probably busy preparing for her impending halftime show performance at Super Bowl LIV with Shakira but new reports have surfaced that suggest she might be celebrating more than the historic show this year. A source close to Jennifer Lopez and her 44-year-old boyfriend, New York Yankees star Alex Rodriguez, has told Us Weekly that the couple is about to get married in a few months.
“They are getting married this summer,” the source reportedly said.
Lopez's relationship with Rodriguez was confirmed in March 2017 and the couple made their red carpet debut at the Met Gala two months later, according to Us. Since then they've been very popular on social media and among fans. In August 2018, Lopez spoke about Rodriguez at the MTV Video Music Awards in her Video Vanguard Award acceptance speech saying, “Alex, you’re like my twin soul.”
“We’re like mirror images of each other," she gushed. "You know, my life is sweeter and better with you in it because you make me realize that every day, the sky is not the limit. The universe is infinite, and so is what we can accomplish together with love and trust and understanding. There is so much more to do, to experience, and there is no one I’d rather do it with, baby. You’re my macho, and I love you.”
Rodriguez reportedly proposed to Lopez in March 2019 during a tropical vacation. He announced the engagement via Instagram, uploading a snap of the 50-year-old singer sporting a square-cut diamond ring and captioning the post “She said yes”.
The marriage reports are as of yet unconfirmed by the couple. Lopez's upcoming Super Bowl halftime show performance is one of the most anticipated events of the year and hopefully, she might give fans a confirmation on the upcoming nuptials.
Super Bowl LIV is scheduled to begin at 6:30 pm ET and will be broadcast on FOX.
