Jennifer Lopez admits she would choose Ben Affleck as her companion on desert island but 'he wouldn't like that'
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Jennifer Lopez graces the cover of the latest edition of Vogue Mexico, marking a significant milestone for the magazine in Latin America. While it is rare for the singer to give interviews in Spanish, she took the opportunity to discuss the items she would bring with her to a desert island.
During the conversation, she made sure to mention her husband, Ben Affleck. "If I went to a desert island I would take in my bag music, gum, something to eat, if I could put anything in my bag to take with me every day it would be my husband, but he wouldn't like that," said Lopez. "He's very big and he wouldn't like that one little bit," she joked.
'Ben and Jen are doing phenomenally'
According to a source, the bond between Affleck and Lopez has been strengthening, especially after the rumored spat between Lopez and Affleck's ex-wife, Jennifer Garner. "Ben and Jen are doing phenomenally," they said, adding, "They are closer than ever before and both of them are elated. They're feeling united and are in very positive spirits. Ben loves how talented, intelligent and loyal Jen is. They lean on each other and are supportive of one another," according to ET.
Earlier, Garner had expressed her displeasure at seeing a family member being turned into "a viral meme," referring to the widely shared image of Affleck's bored expression at the Grammys, while Lopez felt "humiliated" by her comments. An insider revealed that Garner comparatively "values her privacy more" than Lopez, and when she "sees her kids photographed out in public with JLo, their dad, and step-siblings, Jen thought it felt calculated."
'They don’t want to see the children suffer'
The children from their respective relationships have played a crucial role in bringing the family together. Garner and Affleck share a 14-year-old daughter, Seraphina, while Lopez and Marc Anthony are co-parenting their 15-year-old daughter, Emme. Now, according to a source close to the family, "Jen (Garner) and J.Lo have since been able to resolve their differences, for the most part. Seraphina and Emme are super close, so that’s been a huge factor." As per the source, the stars didn’t take long to figure out that they all want the same thing, which is the happiness of the children. "They don’t want to see the children suffer from a public spat between them. Seraphina and Emme are inseparable, and neither woman would come between their bond," the insider shared.
