Inside Jennifer Lawrence's breathtaking New York City penthouse that sold for $9.9M at 36% loss
The penthouse is located in The Laurel, a 30-floor condominium in New York's Upper East Side, and is beautiful inside out with scenic views and stunning interiors
Academy award-winning actress Jennifer Lawrence has officially sold her opulent New York City penthouse at $9.9M as against the previously estimated $15.45M, which amounts to 36% loss. The price cut is primarily due to changes in tax deduction limits and the ongoing coronavirus pandemic which has taken a toll on New York City. The lavish penthouse located on the Upper East Side was on the market since last summer with occasional price cuts.
However, this financial loss with the price reduction may not be too big a deal for 'The Hunger Games' star who was the highest-grossing actress in 2015 and 2016 with an estimated worth of $130M. The actress has also starred in big hits such as 'Silver Linings Playbook' and 'American Hustle'. The actress, who got her big break in NYC, has been living in her $8M home in Beverly Hills gated community since 2015.
Jennifer's penthouse is located at the top of The Laurel, a 30-floor condominium on New York’s Upper East Side. Apart from the stunning interiors, the penthouse offers an amazing view of the skyline. Its two floors of outdoor terrace is everything one could ask for a perfect entertainment setting.
Adding to its charm is an outdoor kitchen, fireplace with pergola, built-in ping pong table and spectacular views of the city alongside the Hudson River.
The 4,073-square-foot apartment has luxurious interiors too. The house has three bedrooms and five baths and the glass walls ensure the place is lit all day. The formal dining and sitting area offers breathtaking views of the city, thanks to the glass walls. Similar open vistas are visible from the master suite and eat-in chef's kitchen.
Of the many amenities in the penthouse, there is a concierge, gym, pool, sauna, screening room and private storage.
Lawrence, who has been featured in Time's 100 most influential people's list in 2013, has closed the sale of the glamorous penthouse. The star who was in Forbes's celebrity 100 list in 2014 and 2016 has seen her estate undergoing two price cuts. One was in 2019 when the house was priced at $15.45M and then it was priced at $12M and was finally sold for $9.9M. The listing agent was Pamela D’Arc of Compass, New York City.
