LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Jennifer Aniston is urging 'Friends' fans to honor the legacy of the late Matthew Perry by contributing to the Matthew Perry Foundation.
The 54-year-old actress is encouraging her Instagram followers to support the 'Fools Rush In' actor's charity which was launched on November 3 by his family aiming to pay tribute to Perry who tragically died on October 28.

Jennifer Aniston says Matthew Perry 'would have been grateful' for his fan's support
On Tuesday, November 28, Aniston took to her Instagram Story to mark Giving Tuesday, a global day of generosity by urging people to support Perry's charity founded for those "struggling with the disease of addiction."
"For #GivingTuesday please join me and Matty’s family in supporting his foundation - which is working to help those suffering with addiction," wrote the actress.
"He would have been grateful for the love," she added.
Matthew Perry's stepfather Keith Morrison requests fans to support his charity
Perry's stepfather Keith Morrison echoed the sentiment in his message on Monday, November 27 on X (formerly known as Twitter) as he stated, "This is not the sort of thing I commonly do, this pitch."
"But this year is different. And tomorrow is Giving Tuesday. Do what you can; he would have been grateful," he said of Perry's addiction recovery charity.

Matthew Perry's family wants his charity to help those suffering from addiction disease
Speaking to People on Monday, November 27, Perry's family said the foundation's goal is "identifying addiction as a disease, addressing the complex stigmas that prevent individuals from seeking and accessing care, and fiercely advocating for better and more equitable treatment."

"It is important to us, as a family, to honor Matthew’s legacy," stated the actor's family, adding "The potential that the Matthew Perry Foundation has to help those suffering from this disease is something we are proud to bring to the world."
Matthew Perry intended to establish the charity before his sudden death
Perry who has openly addressed his struggle with substance abuse throughout his career reportedly intended to establish the foundation himself before his unexpected death.

"When I die, I don’t want ‘Friends’ to be the first thing that’s mentioned — I want to help others to be the first thing that’s mentioned. And I’m going to live the rest of my life proving that," Perry said 'Q with Tom Power' in November 2022.
The '17 Again' actor further added, "Addiction is far too powerful for anyone to defeat alone. But together, one day at a time, we can beat it down," a quote that is now featured on the homepage of his foundation website.
