Jennifer Aniston and Justin Theroux hold hands as they bid goodbye to their pet dog, Dolly: 'Most loyal family member and protector'
Jennifer Aniston reunited with ex Justin Theroux to mourn the passing of their beloved German shepherd Dolly. The former couple was seen attending a spiritual ceremony which took place on Sunday evening to mourn the dog's demise.
The 50-year-old 'Friends' actress was married to 47-year-old Theroux from August 2015 till 2017. The pair held hands at the emotional ceremony, with a series of pictures shared on Justin's Instagram account showed the ex-couple come together with family members as they wrapped the white German shepherd in a white blanket.
The 'Leftovers' actor shared in a touching caption, "Tonight, at sunset, after a heroic struggle... our most loyal family member and protector, Dolly A. laid down her sword and shield. She was surrounded by her entire family."

Dolly had been adopted by Aniston in 2006 and was laid to rest with a selection of colorful flowers as attendees burnt sage.
Many fans and followers praised the couple for being able to reunite together in a difficult time. Fans on Justin's social media shared, "Just awful but so beautiful you can both be there for each other in grief for Dolly. Jennifer was there, too. She was her dog. So sorry for your loss... I'm sorry for your & Jennifer's loss. She was a beautiful dog. Glad you could both be there for Dolly."
In 2018, both Jennifer and Justin had reached an agreement to share custody of their four dogs. As reported by In Touch, the pair refers to the dogs as their 'children' and also have visitation arrangements for the same. Jennifer lives with Dolly, terrier Clyde, and pitbull mix Sophie in Los Angeles. Justin, on the other hand, lives with the couple's other pit bull in New York. Last year, Jennifer revealed that she had named her dog Dolly after the singer Dolly Parton.
