Jason Momoa calls out Chris Pratt for holding single use plastic water bottle during workout photoshoot: "Bro i love u but wtf"
Chris Pratt's rigorous workout schedules mean he doesn't really look like he's 40, and the A-list actor recently took to Instagram to promote the Amazon products he uses to keep in such tip-top shape. Jason Momoa, however, wasn't happy about one aspect of the post: the plastic water bottle Pratt was holding.
"You’re probably wondering why I’m standing here, low key flexing, gazing into the distance...," Pratt wrote on the post, which has since gotten close to 800,000 likes. "Well, turns out I'm teaming up with @amazon to show you guys everything I use for my workouts, keeping active, and all that fun stuff to get you prepped for 2020."
While that may have seemed like an innocent enough upload, Momoa seemingly took offense to the 'Guardians of the Galaxy' star's lack of environmental consciousness and called him out for promoting a single-use plastic bottle.
"bro i love u but wtf on the water bottle," Momoa commented on the post. "no single use plastic. come on."
Pratt, to his credit, took the criticism in his stride and promised not to overlook such a detail again. "Aquaman! You’re completely right," he replied back. "Dammit. I always carry my big gallon size reusable water jug around with me too. I even had it that day!!!"
"If I remember correctly somebody threw that plastic bottle to me in the photoshoot cause I didn’t know what to do with my hands!" he continued. "I never know what to do with my hands! So uncomfortable. For real tho. Love you too buddy. My bad. I don’t want your home of Atlantis covered in plastic. Hear that kids? Reduce. Reuse. Recycle."
Once the exchange went viral, Momoa took to Instagram again and apologized to Pratt for publicly calling him out but promised he only did so because he was very passionate about the cause.
"BRO you know my children and I are madly in love with you and I love everything you do," he wrote. "I’m sorry this was received so badly today I didn’t mean for that to happen. I’m just very passionate about this single use plastic epidemic."
"The plastic water bottles have to stop i hope u make a reusable water bottle for amazon so we all can purchase," he added. "You’re an inspiration to many I’m one of them. I’ll send you a case of MANANALU. All my Aloha, Da Momoa’s"
