Jamie Lee Komoroski: Images show aftermath of crash that left newlywed Samantha Miller dead
FOLLY BEACH, SOUTH CAROLINA: Chilling images have emerged showing the aftermath of the tragic crash that killed newlywed bride Samantha Miller, 34, and left her husband Aric Hutchinson, 36, severely injured just a few hours after their wedding. A drunk driver, identified as 25-year-old Jamie Lee Komoroski, has been accused of slamming the couple’s LSV leading to the fatal crash. Photos taken after the collision on April 29 show Komoroski's rented Toyota Camry mangled on the scene.
The images also revealed parts of Miller’s wedding gown stuck in the bumper of Komoroski’s car. Meanwhile, other harrowing pictures showed the damaged state of Miller and Hutchinson’s low-speed vehicle, which was crumpled during the incident. The seats of the vehicle were reportedly detached while the axle connecting the two back wheels was left nearly broken, WCIV reported.

‘What’s gonna go wrong?’
The newlywed couple was reportedly traveling to their AirBnB before Komoroski hit their vehicle while driving at 65mph in a 25mph zone in an intoxicated state. Miller’s sister, Mandy Jenkins, told the outlet that it was only a “quick” journey from the reception to their AirBnB. “What’s gonna go wrong?” she said. Miller and Hutchinson’s cart reportedly flipped and rolled multiple times after being struck by Komoroski’s vehicle.
Authorities attempted to save Miller but she succumbed to her injuries. Meanwhile, Hutchinson was rushed to the hospital with broken bones and a brain injury. Two other people from the bridal party, Ben Garrett and his nephew Brogan were also injured in the accident. “I was handed Aric's wedding ring in a plastic bag at the hospital, five hours after Sam placed it on his finger and they read each other their vows,” Hutchinson’s mother, Annette, wrote on a GoFundMe page. “Aric has lost the love of his life,” she added.
Where is Jamie Lee Komoroski now?
Jamie Lee Komoroski was arrested on charges of three counts of driving under the influence resulting in great bodily harm or death and one count of reckless homicide. Authorities said she was “uncooperative” at the scene of the incident but later told officials that she had two drinks an hour before driving, including a beer and tequila, The Sun reported.
Officials alleged Komoroski refused to take a sobriety test by the roadside but reportedly gave an eight rating when asked how impaired she felt on a scale of one to 10. Komoroski is currently in custody at a detention center and could face up to 25 years in prison if convicted on each DUI charge, the publication noted.
Lisa Miller is planning to bury Samantha Miller in Folly Beach
In the wake of the tragedy, Miller’s mother, Lisa, said that she was planning to put her daughter to rest in the town she loved the most. “Sammy never wanted to leave Folly,” she told WCIV. “She said this is her place... If she's cremated, we’re going to bring her to the Folly Beach,” Lisa added.
