LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Jamie Lee Curtis has reportedly restricted her Instagram comments after being slammed for supporting Jonny Depp by reposting his photo on Instagram.

The actress captioned the picture, "MOTLEY CREW REDUX #Repost @mckeanvulgate Beck, McKean, Depp & Guest: road ready." The picture she reposted shows Depp along with Jeff Beck and Michael McKeen.

Soon after, her annoyed followers criticized her for her post. A user wrote, "Delete this jamie." Another user wrote, "Looks like some are totally ignoring the court case and making themselves look ridiculous." Another user wrote slammed Curtis and commented that she supported Depp's ex-wife Amber Heard and wrote, "#IStandWithAmberHeard #expertsforamberheard @letterforamber." Another user sarcastically wrote, "Watch out, Depp might sue you." Someone else wrote, "Anyone who supports Johnny Depp in Anyway supports Domestic Abuse." "Supporting wifebeaters, Jamie?" yet another chimed in.

Heard had been receiving a lot of backlash, especially after the contentious defamation trial ended with Depp winning. MEAWW had earlier reported that Gloria Steinem and Constance Wu were among more than 130 other women who signed an open letter supporting the actress. The letter stated, "Five months ago, the verdict in the defamation trial between Johnny Depp and Amber Heard deeply concerned many professionals in the fields of intimate partner and sexual violence. Much of this harassment was fueled by disinformation, misogyny, biphobia, and a monetized social media environment where a woman's allegations of domestic violence and sexual assault were mocked for entertainment."

The fiery letter further continued, "The same disinformation and victim-blaming tropes are now being used against others who have alleged abuse. We condemn the public shaming of Amber Heard and join in support of her. We support the ability of all to report intimate partner and sexual violence free of harassment and intimidation."

However, Depp's supporters were incensed by the letter and some of them flooded the organizers' Instagram accounts with harsh remarks. Heard, meanwhile, is reportedly living in Mallorca, Spain, in a villa with her daughter, Oonagh Paige, and her partner, Bianca Butti.
