After the news of Jamie Foxx breaking up with his longtime girlfriend, Katie Holmes was made known to the public, the actor has been spending quite a lot of time with singer Sela Vave.

According to Page Six, the 'Django Unchained' actor is going around fondly telling his close friends that Vave is "the next Beyonce". Multiple sources told the website that the 51-year-old star is grooming the young singer and model for major stardom. They added that Foxx has also been showing her off to his influential friends in the industry.

One source shared, "Jamie is saying that Sela is an amazing singer, that she's the future Beyoncé. He's introducing her to his friends in the music and entertainment industry — and getting her to sing on the spot to show off her talents."

The source who recently saw the duo on a night out shared, "Jamie seemed very attentive to Sela and excited to show her off." The source added that they were spotted holding hands as they departed from Bootsy Bellows nightclub last weekend in LA. They were heading toward his Lamborghini SUV.

After rumors of Foxx and Vave dating went public, he took to social media and denied dating the singer. He also pointed out that she is as young as his 25-year-old daughter Corinne.

According to Page Six, some reports state that Vave is only 21, while other sources tell the website that she is only 19. The actor went on to reveal that he just wants to help Vave and guide her through her music career after he saw her perform.

Going live on Instagram, he said, "That's our family. We don't ever cross the lines like that personally. That's our artiste, that's our family, that's our love. She's been brought into the family. She works hard, she's a beautiful singer. I can't wait for you to hear her."

Vave has even moved in with the actor who pointed out that, in the past, famed stars like Ed Sheeran, Nick Cannon and Ne-Yo have lived with him when they started their careers. So, assuming that there is a romance brewing between him and Vave is just "double standards".

After Vave started to receive a backlash from fans, she took to Instagram and uploaded Foxx's post saying, "You can keep talking and calling me a wh**e, s**t, home wrecker, gold digger, that I should die . . . Because it doesn’t matter to me, I'm out here to work and do what I love most. #music #killthedoublestandard."
