ATLANTA, GEORGIA: Although Jamie Foxx has not been in the public eye, reports suggest that the actor is recovering. A family member stated that the 'They Cloned Tyrone' actor was "recovering well" after being hospitalized for an unknown "medical complication" while shooting the Netflix action comedy 'Back in Action' on April 11 in Atlanta, Georgia.

There hasn't been much news since his older daughter, Corinne Foxx, issued a statement the next day. "We wanted to share that my father, Jamie Foxx, experienced a medical complication yesterday," the message read. "Luckily, due to quick action and great care, he is already on his way to recovery." Corinne added in her Instagram statement, "We know how beloved he is and appreciate your prayers. The family asks for privacy during this time."

Where is Foxx?

Additionally, the future of Foxx's new Netflix film 'Back in Action' hangs in the balance as he has vanished ever since the emergency. The actor's Instagram account simply stated, "Appreciate all the love!!! Feeling blessed," at the beginning of May.

Foxx shared a preview for his upcoming Netflix film 'They Cloned Tyrone'  to his Instagram with the caption: "It’s about to go down. #TheyClonedTyrone coming July 21, only on @netflix." The actor had skipped the film's red carpet premiere last week, and his daughter Corinne's Instagram response, which included the "prayer hands" emoji, sparked claims that she was purposefully keeping fans in confusion.

'No one has heard from Jamie'

John Bodega and Teyonah Parris are also featured in the film, which Foxx also produced. At the film's premiere in Florida last week, Boyega said that the actor had been hospitalized and that since then, "no one has heard from" him. "No one has heard from Jamie," Boyega told Entertainment Tonight. "I wanted him to show up here, but you know, I know he’s dealing with what he’s dealing with. I just wish him all the best," he stated.

Is Jamie Foxx OK?

Foxx is reportedly "recovering well," according to a family member, but Page Six also reports growing worry in Hollywood that the hush about Foxx might negatively impact his professional prospects. On May 12, Corinne, 29, stated that her father had recovered sufficiently to play pickleball, a month after she first shared his medical issue. According to reports, Foxx has been receiving treatment at a Chicago center that specializes in stroke recovery, traumatic brain injury rehabilitation, and spinal cord injury recovery. The actor allegedly had a stroke, according to Mike Tyson, but this has not been verified.

'People are concerned'

The secrecy surrounding his ailment was ultimately devastating, a Hollywood insider told Page Six. "I know that people realize this is a private matter, but people are concerned — Jamie’s friends and fans — and they just want to know what is going on," they said. "I don’t think that is too much to ask."

'He’s recovering pretty good'

All of his family members have visited the clinic, including his daughters Corinne and Annalise, 14, as well as Annalise's mother, Kristin Grannis. In an interview with Page Six, Bruce Heckhard, whose brother Talley Heckhard Talley grew up with Foxx, said, "So far, from what I’m hearing, he’s recovering pretty good, but I’ve not witnessed that myself." Heckhard also told the site that Foxx's recovery meant he was unable to inaugurate the basketball court he presented to his hometown of Terrell, Texas and his name is in large letters on the court in Breezy Hill Park. "They dedicated a park to Jamie, they did a marvelous job, but he couldn’t make it down there," Heckhard stated.
