Jamie Cail: Family ‘shaken to core’ as boyfriend finds swimming champ, 42, dead mysteriously in US Virgin Islands
US VIRGIN ISLANDS: Family members of former swimming champion Jamie Cail who was found dead under mysterious circumstances have paid tribute to her on social media. US Virgin Islands Police Department confirmed that Cail's boyfriend, who has not been named, found the 42-year-old dead on the floor of their home after midnight. Her cause of death has not been revealed.
"On Tuesday, February 21, 2023, at approximately 12:08 a.m., a male left a local bar to check on his girlfriend at their residence. Upon his arrival, he discovered his girlfriend on the floor. With assistance from a friend, the male was able to get the female to a nearby vehicle and transported the female to the Myrah Keating-Smith Clinic. Once at the clinic, CPR was rendered and 911 was notified, however, the female succumbed to her ailment. The female was identified by her boyfriend as 42-year-old, Ms Jamie Cail from New Hampshire. This case is presently under investigation by the Criminal Investigation Bureau," US Virgin Islands Police Department said.

Who are Jamie Cail's parents?
Cail is survived by her parents, Pat and Gary Cail. Gary took to Facebook to share an article about his daughter's death, captioning it, 'So devistating (devastating)'. While not much is known about Pat, Gary's Facebook profile says he 'Studied Land Surveying/Civil Engineering at University of Maine' and also 'Studied Business Adm. Degree at Thomas College'. He went to Hamden High School. Gary lives in Wallingford, Connecticut, and is originally from Hamden, Connecticut.
Many offered their condolences on Gary's post, with one user saying, "So very sorry for your loss, my friend." "So, so very sorry. Such a beautiful young woman inside and out. Heartbreaking," one user said, while another wrote, "My deepest condolences."

Among other family members who remember who remembered Cail on social media is Jessica DeVries, who identified herself as her cousin. "We are all devastated as a family. Pat and Gary, Jamie's parents are living in Maine. They are absolutely shook to the core. We are all mourning together and are unbelievably grateful and blessed by the outpouring of love and uplifting experiences you are sharing with us," she commented on a Facebook post.
