LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: The 'Jeopardy! Masters' competition 2023 is in full swing. The competition returned on May 8 with six contestants vying for a $500,000 win and the Trek Trophy named in memory of former late host Alex Trebek. The tournament has a pretty exciting lineup of contestants. Amy Schneider, Matt Amodio, Mattea Roach, Sam Buttrey, James Holzhaeur, and Andrew He, are all in it deep and fighting like sharks for the big prize.

However the fights and the taunts are not just between the contestant but also between the host, Ken Jennings, and James Holzhaeur, who is a gameshow legend and the second-best earner in the competition’s history, only behind Jennings who was once a contestant himself. This has led to an ongoing beef between the two with James taking every opportunity to take a dig at Jennings, knowing that he’s still the second best in the history of this competition. In the latest episode of the show, a provocative moment led to a playful spat between the two that shocked the fans.

'Keep it in your pants, Ken'

The self-proclaimed villain of the show, James, was playing against Matt and Mattea and was off to a flying start, sporting a hefty lead during the second game on Friday, May 12, Master’s competition. It was Matt’s turn to choose a category. He picked Author's Pretty Decent Reviews. Ken read the question, "The Detroit Free Press said 'The Mummy' was 'vintage' this novelist; 'elegantly erotic and full of enchanting terror.’" Matt answered incorrectly and Ken took the chance to lay a dig on his familiar foe. He joked, "I also refer to James as "elegantly erotic but full of enchanting terror.”

This received a chuckle from the audience which James didn’t seem to like and before Ken could move on to the question, James busted in with, "Keep it in your pants, Ken.” The host was completely bamboozled and taken aback. He didn’t know how to respond and so did the audience.

It is now that the highest-scoring contestants are expected to advance to the second week to compete on May 15, May 16, and May 17. The semifinals air on May 22 and 23 and the winner of the ‘Jeopardy! Masters' will be decided on May 24.
