Jada Pinkett says she had to 'educate' husband Will Smith over 'insensitive' comments on daughter Willow's menstruation

The 48-year-old shared the 'Alladin' star is "one of those that likes to tell stories and sometimes goes too far," and that he often liked to make fun of Willow's feminine issues, much to her annoyance.

Jada Pinkett Smith has revealed that husband Will Smith likes to make jokes about their daughter Willow's menstruation and other feminine issues and that they've had to often "educate that joker" before he leaves the house and tries the same trick outside.

Smith, 48, made the revelation on the latest episode of her Facebook Watch talk show 'Red Table Talk,' which featured guests T.I., 39, and his wife Tameka 'Tiny' Harris, 44.

The topic of conversation was T.I.'s comments earlier this month on the 'Ladies Like Us' podcast where he said it was extremely important to him that his daughter Deyjah Harris does not have sex yet and that he goes with her on annual gynecological checkups to confirm that her hymen was still intact.

Smith told T.I. she understood to an extent how the rapper thought making such a seemingly inappropriate comment was okay since she had to often deal with such situations at home with her husband.

"I understood that because I’m in this house with Will and he be saying the craziest stuff," she said. "He don’t understand the level. And thank God he has me and he’s got [daughter] Willow [Smith]…we educate that joker before he leaves this house. You know what I mean?"

The 48-year-old shared the 'Alladin' star is "one of those that likes to tell stories and sometimes goes too far," and that he often liked to make fun of Willow's feminine issues, much to her annoyance.

"Willow has gone at her dad several times for very insensitive comments, whether it’s around menstruation or, you know, 'You must be PMS-ing,' and she’s like, 'That right there, we not gon’ do that,'" she said, adding that "every day, it's a work in progress."

T.I. goes on to explain that his comments on checking his daughter's hymen had been embellished and exaggerated and that "a lot of people took it extremely literal."

"I never said I was in any exam room. Never said it was being done present day as an 18-year-old. Never said that [Deyjah’s] mother wasn’t present. She was there every time. All of these things… it’s a false narrative," he insisted.
