It was a normal day on Twitter, until a rumor that Tulsa-born singer Jacob Sartorius was dead picked up pace. The 20-year-old 'Sweatshirt' singer is a known face on TikTok platform, with over 20 million followers on the app. He rose to fame sharing lip sync videos on the dubbing app musical.ly.
Fans were shocked as the rumor gained traction on social media along with 'Jacob Sartorius dead' on Tuesday, October 25, without any proof whatsoever, according The Sun.

A lot of Twitter fans wanted to get to the bottom of it and there were a lot of tweets demanding to know the truth. It was finally revealed that the singer was alright and doing fine, but it did not stop Twitter users from posting tweets about his death.
One user tweeted, “Yo why are people saying jacob sartorius is dead???” and another said, “I kno a lot of ppl didnt like jacob sartorius but nobody deserves to die like that rip :/” Another twitter user’s shock was evident from their tweet which read, “Streets sayin Jacob sartorius dyed, IS THAT TRUE !???!&&$$))$”
One user also attached a screenshot of multiple reports seemingly confirming that the young singer has died along with the tweet, “DUDE JACOB SARTORIUS I CANT BELIEVE THIS IS THIS REAL DUDE ATOP” Another user, however, was quick to debunk the rumors with a screenshot of his google page, where his death was not reflected at all. Their tweet read, "Jacob sartorius is still alive. Idk where people are getting that he’s dead”
One other twitter user also made sure to tell all those who were discussing his death even after he posted only minutes before with the tweet reading, “If you are on tiktok, you might have been seeing that jacob sartorius is de@d. it’s a sick rumor. he posted on his insta about 18 minutes ago. have no idea WHY that kind of a rumor would go around. @jacobsartorius hope you are okay and taking care of yourself.”
