On Wednesday evening, May 10, the show's executive producer, Frank Valentini, tweeted the sad news. "On behalf of our 'General Hospital' family, I am heartbroken to announce the passing of our beloved Jackie Zeman," Valentini tweeted, adding, "She was a bright light and true professional who brought so much positive energy to work, just like her character, the legendary Bobbie Spencer."

Zeman was a dance student at New York University on a scholarship. The actress graduated from Bergenfield High School at the age of 15. In 1972, she served at the Playboy Club as a Playboy Bunny.

Leman first appeared on TV in 1976 in 'One Life To Live', in which she played Lana McClain. Zeman then appeared in 'The Edge of Night' in 1976 as Bobbi. Zeman was passionate about becoming an actress.
