South Korean music mogul J-Hope, who is also a member of the K-pop boy band BTS, is making headlines for becoming the first K-Pop soloist to hit 4M followers on Spotify on August 31. BTS is one of the top-notch K-pop bands the present generation has seen with the boys breaking into the US scene. Jung Hoseok aka J-Hope made his official solo debut in 2018 with ‘Hope World’ and there's been no turning back for since. In 2019, he scored a hit with his single ‘Chicken Noodle Soup’ with Becky G, as mentioned in his Spotify bio. However, he made his musical debut with BTS in 2013.

J-Hope's love for dance goes way back to his childhood days and he later ventured into singing and rapping. He not only became the fifth Korean artist to chart on the Billboard 200 (following BoA, Taeyang, Jonghyun and G-Dragon), but also had the highest-charting solo K-pop act on the Billboard 200 to date, as per Spotify. The appreciation for his solo mixtape soared when ‘Hope World’ peaked at number 35 on the Canadian Albums chart and number 19 on the US Top Rap Albums chart in 2018. To sum up, the rapper’s three mixtape tracks, ‘Daydream’, ‘Hope World’ and ‘Hangsang’, charted on the World Digital Songs Chart at number 3, 16 and 24 respectively in 2018. The songwriter-producer’s duet with Becky G, ‘Chicken Noodle Soup', debuted at number 81 on the Billboard Hot 100 in 2019. This made him the first member of BTS to chart on the Hot 100 as a solo artist.

Now again, J-Hope has added another feather to his glorious 'solo' career by hitting 4M followers on Spotify. His fans can't keep calm and are calling him a “legend” since the news dropped on the internet. A fan wrote in praise, “My baby, J-hope, the multitalented golden Hyung of BTS. A dance prodigy, the main dancer of the biggest boy group in the world, rapper, sub-vocalist, dance leader, writer, producer and charting Korean artist in billboard history. LEGEND!"

Another concurred calling him incredible. “Hobi thank you for the talented, brilliant, incredible, amazing, show-stopping, spectacular, never-the-same, totally unique, completely-not-ever-been-done before. You guys r legend.”

A user wrote in a prophetic tone, “Legend says if you stream autumn leaves 1000 times on Spotify, Hobi will appear in front of you and will rap his legendary verse.”

A fan wrote showing his love for him, “I love you! Congrats Hobi you deserve all the awards!”
