'I’ve lived too long': Cher teases her forthcoming memoir as 'encyclopedia' of her extraordinary life
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: In an appearance on 'The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon,' iconic Cher revealed to Fallon that she is currently working on a memoir.
Discussing the arduous process of penning her tell-all with the host, Cher admitted, "I just completely chickened out," as reported by People.
"I didn’t put in some things that needed to be put in. And they’re not comfortable, but they need to be put in so I have to go back and man up," she added.
What is the title of Cher's memoir?
While the title of Cher's memoir remains undecided, her primary focus is on crafting a comprehensive account of her life.
Playfully referencing the potential unfamiliarity of the term with the audience, Cher remarked, "I’ve lived too long and done too much, so it’s like it should be the encyclopedia. Not that you guys know what that is."
Cher on her first-ever holiday album 'Christmas'
In the interview, the 77-year-old singer discussed her first-ever holiday album, aptly titled 'Christmas,' which was released on October 30.
Acknowledging her initial hesitation to release a holiday album, Cher remarked, "Because I couldn’t, this sounds so stupid, because I couldn’t find myself, I couldn’t see myself in a Christmas album."

The 'Hell on Wheels' singer's apprehensions faded as she collaborated with legendary musicians including Darlene Love and Stevie Wonder for the album.
"I was so terrified, I am not kidding," Cher shared her experience of calling Wonder after realizing that some parts of the track 'What Christmas Means to Me' were "just Stevie."
"So I called him and I said ‘Hi, Stevie, it’s me,'" the singer added.
'Christmas' marks Cher's return to creating original music after a decade
In September, Cher announced the release of her album 'Christmas' on Instagram, marking her return to creating original music a decade after the launch of 'Closer to the Truth' in 2013.

When teasing the album, the singer of 'Carousel Man' mentioned on 'Good Morning Britain' that the record is "a Cher Christmas album. It's not your mother’s Christmas album."
"I'm really, really excited because there are millions of people on it, and I've never had duets. I've never had people on any of my records” she said.
The singer added that the collaborations with other musicians were a "last-minute thing."
