Although her father still refuses to wear a mask in front of the cameras, claiming that it would make him look weak, Ivanka Trump has decided not to follow in President Donald Trump's footsteps and comply with the CDC guidelines instead as she was seen donning a face covering that matched her summery dress as she and her daughter headed to Florida to attend Elon Musk's historic SpaceX rocket launch.

Earlier on Wednesday, the first daughter was seen leaving her Washington D.C. house a little after 9:30 in the morning, accompanied by her two eldest children, with all three wearing protective face masks. For the event, the 38-year-old donned a $1,790 button-down midi dress by Lela Rose which featured thin straps and a large yellow rose printed across the front. It seemed like she was ready for the summer as her face mask, printed with small yellow flowers perfectly complemented her dress.

As temperatures outside soared to the 80s, Ivanka wore her blonde hair pulled back in a bun to keep herself cool. To finish off her look, she donned a pair of nude pumps and carried a white handbag in her left hand. For accessories, she kept it to a bare minimum with delicate oval hoop earrings and a red string bracelet on her left wrist.

Ivanka's daughter Arabella, 8, looked like a younger version of her mother dressed in a white eyelet summer dress and T-strap sandals. Her light brown hair was half pulled up, given the heat and like Ivanka, she wore a floral patterned mask. The first daughter's oldest son, Joseph, 6, meanwhile, resembled his father, Jared Kushner, as he wore a blue button-down shirt, white shorts, and leather loafers. He had a buzz cut hair and covered his nose and mouth with a blue mask. His four-year-old brother, Theodore was not accompanying the trio and might have been considered too young to attend the event.

The three were not accompanied by Kushner, who was spotted leaving their house two and a half hours earlier wearing a suit and a mask. In addition to a work bag, Trump's senior adviser was also carrying a black baseball cap that says 'Travel Space Again,' which was gifted to him by Kanye West during his visit to the White House in 2018.

Ivanka and her family boarded Air Force One to travel to the Kennedy Space Center with President Trump, Melania Trump, and Vice President Mike Pence. En route to the event in the Sunshine State, Ivanka posted a photo of the launch site from the plane on her Instagram Stories along with three astronaut emojis. Images taken at the event showed Jared Kushner without a mask while  Ivanka and her children kept their masks on. Donald Trump Jr. also attended the event without any form of face covering.

The POTUS' son and son-in-law might have decided to go maskless at the event in solidarity with Trump, who has often insisted on attending public events without a mask. In the recently, even Ivanka was seen donning a face mask minutes before taking off as she joined her father at an event on “supporting our Nation’s farmers, ranchers, and food supply chain.”
