Ivanka Trump dazzles in $3,990 Dolce & Gabbana pantsuit to childcare and paid leave summit at White House

Ivanka Trump showed up to the White House to talk about childcare and paid leave on December 12, wearing a $3,990 Dolce & Gabbana pantsuit.

Despite the fact that articles of impeachment had been drawn up against her father, the first daughter appeared to be in great spirits when she attended the White House summit. The 38-year-old donned a short houndstooth blazer with crystal-embellished buttons and matching high-waisted flare pants, pairing her look with black heels.

Inside her go-to Chanel bag was nestled a MacBook, which did not leave doubt in anyone's mind that she was ready for business. Add to that her blonde bob hair, which was dried poker-straight and parted down the center — a style which she has favored for a few months now — further gave her appearance a formal look.

She completed her look with smokey eye makeup, natural-looking blush, and dusty rose lipstick.

Ivanka left for the White House an hour after her husband and fellow senior adviser to the POTUS, Jared Kushner, went to work. She had attended a Hanukkah reception at the White House on Wednesday evening.

Childcare and paid leave are two issues that have been championed by the mother-of-three for a long time. She took the stage on Thursday and in her opening remarks, said: "We have come together today because we have a historic chance to pass paid family leave and childcare reform so that every American family has the freedom to embrace the dignity of work and the joy of raising a family."

"Our vision is to give each parent the resources and support they need to make the best choice for their families. At the heart of our reforms is democratizing choice and control and giving it back to parents — where it belongs," she added, Daily Mail reported.

At the conclusion of the summit, President Donald Trump made an appearance on stage and praised his daughter for taking on the important initiative. "I want to thank my daughter who is working every minute of every day on something good," he said.
