New details have emerged into the sudden death of Ivana Trump, who breathed her last after accidentally falling down her house's stairs on Thursday, July 14. The former wife of ex-president Donald Trump was discovered by a maintenance worker at the bottom of the stairs inside her Manhattan home in New York City. Officials and law-enforcement sources also said on Friday that her body was lying next to a spilt cup of coffee.

As per reports, a cleaning lady had come to Ivana’s home in the morning of the fateful day; but when no one replied to the doorbell and phone calls, the building’s super was informed. However, he also reportedly could not help since the door was double-locked from inside. Later, the maintenance guy managed to open the door to find the 73-year-old unconscious.

Also, on Friday, a close friend of Ivana told The New York Post that her health was not in good condition. “There was something going on with her hip, she couldn’t walk. She was going to come two weeks ago, but she was feeling bad. … She said she wasn’t feeling well. She said she was having pain in her leg. … She couldn’t get out of her house,” Zach Erdem, owner of the Southampton hot spot 75 Main, claimed.

Meanwhile, Ivana’s other close pal Nikki Haskell has shared that she was always “afraid that she would fall" from "treacherous stairs” in her house. Haskell told Carlos Greer of Extra: “I’m in shock. I am totally devastated. I spent a lot of time looking at old pictures and sort of reminiscing through the times we spent together and trying to have the best thoughts.”

The socialite continued: “The first time she went out with Donald, we double-dated… We always had a thing where we always wore the same clothes… The minute I met her it, was like we were separated at birth… The minute I met her, we became best friends,” before noting, “I had dinner with Ivana not that long ago in New York.”

Haskell also explained how Covid-19 pandemic hit her late pal. She said, “The past couple of years, she became very reclusive… She had a big townhouse and she was really afraid of getting the virus, much more so than anybody I know. She didn’t want to go anywhere, she didn’t want to travel… She took it very, very seriously. She was afraid of getting sick.”

Haskell then went on to share her own fears she claimed, “I have to tell you something — that has always been my fear. She had one of those really beautiful staircases that was impossible to walk down. Narrow in the inside and wider as it got out. I was always afraid that she would fall. I don’t know what happened, but it’s not hard for me to believe that’s what happened — treacherous stairs.”
