Rapper Da Brat and wife Jesseca are pregnant: 48-yr-old opens up on IVF and heartbreaking miscarriage
NEW ORLEANS, LOUISIANA: Rapper Da Brat—real name Shawntae Harris-Dupart—announced that she is expecting a child at the age of 48. Brat uploaded numerous images of her growing belly on Instagram with the message "BLESSINGS all 2023," in which she expressed gratitude to the fertility clinic that had helped with the pregnancy.
The Rapper and her wife, Jessica 'Judy' Harris-Dupart made the big reveal on Tuesday, February 21. "It's been quite a journey," Brat stated in an interview. Referencing her age as over 40, the 'That's What I'm Looking For' singer continued, "There's a lot we learned about women over the age of 40." The couple stated that they selected an anonymous donor and that Season 3 of their WE tv series 'Brat Loves Judy' will document the pregnancy, according to TMZ.

How did Da Brat and Judy decide to start a family?
The couple's journey toward parenthood began shortly after they exchanged vows on February 2, 2022. Brat said, "It started as a joke, we were like, 'We're extending our family!' But then we got a huge response," according to People.
Brat added, "It was like, 'Oh my God do we want to actually have kids, and if we do, girl, we better hurry up!'" Unlike Brat, who will be giving birth for the first time after experiencing a miscarriage, Judy is a mother of three. The couple, who selected an unnamed donor from their cryo bank who was characterized as "an eager entrepreneur," is currently 18 weeks pregnant, according to People.
Having entered the second trimester, Brat said, "It's just a blessing. I'm excited! I don't have any cravings or nausea but I'm always sleepy. It's crazy!" Brat has also been caught off guard by another aspect of pregnancy, as she shared, "Everything makes me cry. If someone wins American Idol, I cry. I'm like, I'm tougher than that!"
'Whew, she definitely been aging backwards!'
