'It looks staged and fake': Internet slams Nancy Pelosi's statement on husband Paul's assault video

SAN FRANCISCO, CALIFORNIA: David DePape is accused of using a hammer to attack Paul Pelosi, the husband of former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi. A chilling new look at the vicious, politically motivated assault that rocked the country was provided by the video that was made public on Friday morning. However, The Democratic representative from California, Nancy, stated that she has "absolutely no intention" of watching the video of her husband, Paul.

Since the video and her statement have emerged, netizens are slamming the couple, as they all thought the whole video was "staged" and a claimed to be "fake" and Nancy was one of them who executed plotting of this video. As one of the YouTube user wrote down in the comment section of Bloomberg video, the comment reads, "she already saw it in the editing room." Another person wrote, "She won’t make any further comment on this, because she’s having trouble keeping her lies straight."

One of the Twitter users made a comment for the following video and wrote, "Great actors!!" Further, a user thrashed the video and wrote, "It looks staged." A third Twitter user humorously wrote, "3,2,1, action." The fourth Twitter user was even baflled about the video and wrote, "I'm on the fence about the video. On one hand, it could be real. On the other, with Hollywood not far from San Francisco, it could be fake." Another Twitter user called the whole video a "bizzare" and wrote, "I've watched it now over a dozen times and at slow speed. DaPape 100% opened the door, you can see his right arm rest as the door swings open. This whole thing is just bizarre."



 



 



 



 



 



 

Nancy spoke to the reporters shortly after the evidence was made public, she said, “As you know today there was a release of some information. I have not heard the 911 call, I have not heard the confession, I have not seen the break in and I have absolutely no intention of seeing the deadly assault on my husband’s life.”

This statement was made live after The San Francisco Superior Court released the 911 call by Paul, video of the alleged attacker David DePape allegedly breaking into the residence, and audio from a police interview with DePape after the suspected attack, as reported by The New York Times.

About the attack 

A little over three months have passed since Paul was attacked in their San Francisco home. In the early hours of October 28, according to the authorities, DePape allegedly broke into the house and asked Paul where the then-speaker was before hitting him in the head with a hammer, as reported by AlJaazera. He is accused on both state and federal levels. Paul was hospitalized for six days and underwent surgery to treat a skull fracture as well as severe wounds to his hands and right arm, as per reports.
