All the former talks of Willie Geist being fired from 'Morning Joe' can be halted as the host's whereabouts have finally been revealed

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: MSNBC’s flagship show ‘Morning Joe’ host Willie Geist has been absent from the program for almost two weeks without any due notice to the fans. 

At first, there was widespread apprehension that the 48-year-old journalist had been fired from the show after fans received no update or news about his whereabouts.

But now as it seems, Willie’s whereabouts have been revealed and it can be said with a certain level of confidence that he’s not leaving the show anytime soon.

As reported by the US Sun, Willie is only on a brief “vacation” and is expected to resume his duties soon.

Is Willie Geist OK?

The MSNBC host is doing well but his long string of absences from the show had fans concerned for him.

The last time Willie was on the MSNBC morning talk show was on August 4, and he reported from outside of the studio.

Since then, the fans have been hounding for more information about the acclaimed journalist. This led to widespread speculation among the fans online who went berserk looking for answers.

But now an insider close to Willie has claimed that fans can rest easy, as the host is simply "enjoying a much-needed vacation and is expected to return back to Morning Joe next week," as per the US Sun.

Willie Geist’s absence on 'Morning Joe' sparks concern among fans 

Earlier, when Willie Geist's absence was still a mystery, the fans of the host took to X, formerly Twitter to find answers to his whereabouts. 

Under a tweet of Willie's from August 12 about an interview on 'Weekend Today', one fan asked, "Why are you no longer on Morning Joe?” Another fan questioned, “@Morning_Joe where is @WillieGeist, I miss him."

A third said, “Missing Persons Alert! When was the last time you saw Willie Geist live? He's been off Morning Joe for over a week. Today, Hallie Jackson filled in on Sunday Today. She said that next week's sit-down will be one that aired in February. She signed off "We'll see you next week”

A fourth chimed in with, “@WillieGeist miss seeing you on @Morning_Joe ...did you leave the show?” while a fifth said, "I can not believe you fired Willie Geist... what are you thinking?”   

However, after the confirmation by the news outlet, Geist’s fans can rest and expect to see him back in the studio soon enough.
