LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Sofia Vergara is single again after she and her husband, Joe Manganiello, have separated. As per sources, one of her famous exes, Tom Cruise, is waiting for the right moment to make a move.
As per Heat Magazine, via the The Mirror, the ‘Mission: Impossible’ star is keen on rekindling his romance with ‘The Modern Family’ star as she was single again. Both the stars, however, have not confirmed anything, yet.

After the Shakira fiasco, Cruise is reportedly looking forward to moving on with Vergara with whom he was briefly in a relationship in 2005. An insider reportedly said, "They do have that history already, even if it was more of a brief dalliance than a fully-fledged romance."
The insider continued, "They had a special time together partying in the Hollywood hills and having a blast. Sofia wasn't really giving out the signals back then that she wanted anything long-term, so it petered out in a totally amicable fashion and they remained friends."
The insider added that Cruise often felt guilty for dumping Vergara and marrying Katie Holmes in 2006. The insider said, "It's always eaten away at Tom that he dumped Sofia and chose Katie." Cruise and Holmes divorced in 2012 and share a daughter, Suri.
The source also revealed that Vergara "checks almost every box for Tom," and added that the 'Eyes Wide Shut' star was enamored with the actress's beauty and success, making him believe that they could be the new power couple in Hollywood.
As per The Mirror, Vergara’s stance in the said matter was not known as sources said, "Sofia's going to let her hair down and party for a while, then she'll throw herself back into the thick of it and start dating once the divorce is finalized."
'She was fundamentally terrified of Scientology'
In 2005, Vergara was introduced to Cruise by Will Smith at a pre-Oscar party. Like most other women, she was bedazzled by Cruise’s hearty smile. Soon, according to the New York Post, Cruise took her to the Celebrity Centre with him and she met David Miscavige.
According to souces, she was being auditioned for the role of Cruise's wife, and if she joined Scientology, she would have to renounce her Catholic faith. An insider said, “She was fundamentally terrified of Scientology. She sincerely believed that she would be struck down by God and burn in hell if she joined.”
