Is Teresa Giudice OK? ‘RHONJ’ star hospitalized for ‘emergency medical procedure’
'Real Housewives of New Jersey' star Teresa Giudice was reportedly admitted to a hospital on Wednesday night, March 23, where she underwent an “emergency medical procedure". “She is in recovery, currently resting, and she thanks everyone for their prayers and well-wishes,” Giudice’s rep told Page Six, adding that the surgery, which took place on Thursday morning, March 24, was “non-cosmetic".
The rep confirmed to Page Six that Giudice should be released from the hospital “within the next 24 hours". Gia Giudice, Giudice's eldest daughter, shared an Instagram story showing the 49-year-old ‘RHONJ’ star in the hospital. “Such a trooper. I love you,” the 21-year-old wrote over a selfie of her mom seen in a hospital bed with a face mask on. “Pray for a speedy recovery,” Gia wrote, adding “I love you @teresagiudice".

Giudice’s other family members, including brother Joe Gorga, sister-in-law Melissa Gorga, fiancé Luis Ruelas and her three younger daughters, Gabriella, 17, Milania, 16, and Audriana, 12, have still not commented on the reality star's hospitalization. Giudice's latest Instagram post, shared on Tuesday, March 22, is a shout-out to her co-stars from Season 1 of 'Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip'. "I can’t believe The Ultimate Girls Trip is coming to an end tonight! I had such a blast on this trip Hope you guys all enjoyed it!" she captioned the picture of the cast she shared.
Giudice did not recently complain about any physical illness she may have been suffering from. She, in fact, leads a healthy lifestyle, being involved in yoga workouts and weightlifting. She was placed third in her first-ever bodybuilding competition back in 2018. At the time, she told Us Weekly, "This is the most confident I’ve felt after my kids. This is the best I’ve ever felt since having Gia.” She added, "My body drastically changed because of yoga, but this was even more extreme. It debunks the myth that if you’re over 40, you can’t look good." "With all the stress, “I have to keep my mind busy,” she said, adding that after getting into yoga, “I was looking for the next thing" and “I also wanted to show my daughters that if you put hard work and time into something, you can achieve anything.”
Giudice shared on Instagram in February that she had a small procedure done to help reduce the appearance of varicose veins. Sharing a picture with a doctor, she wrote, "Dr Geuder and the staff at veincenteroforadell.com are the best. My legs look and feel great."
