CAPE COD, MASSACHUSETTS: 'Summer House: Martha's Vineyard' star Silas Cooper was described as 'controlling' by his castmates on the show. And in no time, Silas was also trolled on social platforms for telling his wife what to do and what not to do. To put an end to all the trolling, Silas opened a brand new Twitter account.

The Bravo reality star posted apologetic tweets on social media, prompting the Internet to wonder if Silas only created a Twitter account to defend himself, or if there is also an ulterior motive. It seems that the star is now doing damage control for all the things he said about his wife on the show.

Silas Cooper apologizes to his wife Jasmine Cooper 

Silas joined Twitter on June 11. The star took no time to post his first tweet. Addressing what was going on in 'Summer House: Martha's Vineyard,' Silas wrote, "I know I’m little late to the Twitter Universe. I’ve received a lot of support and shade from fans of #summerhousemv I thank y’all for watching. Let’s talk #firsttweet." Later, the next day, Silas addressed the trolls he has been receiving ever since the release of the show. He tweeted, "How I talked to my wife during this time is unacceptable. And there’s no excuses. Just a lot of growth that needs to happen." The star further praised his wife, saying, "I’m so proud of my wife @jasmineelliscpr for being vulnerable and sharing the challenges of marriage." Seeing Silas apologize for his behavior and claiming for growth in his relationship made fans wonder whether he joined Twitter only to clear his stained image.

Did Silas Cooper join Twitter for damage control?

It seems so. An internet user shared his thoughts about the fiasco in a Reddit thread saying, "I hope his tweets last week reflect reality (that he’s evaluating his behavior and committed to improving)." Another fan slammed Silas, "Definitely not, #Facts he only made the Twitter account because people were dragging him and he's trying to save face." A fan took the screenshot of Silas's new Twitter account to the 'Summer House MV' Reddit thread, claiming, "Silas Joins Twitter to do Damage Control?" "Truth! Twitter is not the forum for that!" a fan slammed Silas. Another called out Silas' "fragile ego," "10000%! this is wholly about Silas' fragile ego and Jasmine living up to her wifely expectations, ugh!" Seeing him join Twitter one wrote, "He shouldn’t have joined Twitter. He will regret it with all the dragging he’s gonna get lmaaoo."
