Is Sara Haines leaving 'The View'? Co-host spotted on set of different ABC show during summer break
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: ‘The View’ is officially on its August hiatus after the end of Season 26. This hiatus was breezily talked about by the co-hosts on social media, and the wrap-up party was mentioned on the talk show.
So far, Ana Navarro, Joy Behar, and Alyssa Farah Griffin have indirectly confirmed their return for Season 27 of ‘The View’ in September. However, Sara Haines, Whoopi Goldberg, and Sunny Hostin have made no remarks or posted anything on social media about their return.
Recently, Haines took to Instagram to share stories of her on an ABC show. However, it was not ‘The View.’ Could Season 26 have been Haines’ final stint with ‘The View’?
Is Haines returning for Season 27?
Season 27 of ‘The View’ will begin in September, although an official date has not been confirmed yet. Last year, in August, ‘The View’ announced two new additions to the talk show – Navarro and Griffin. So far this year, there has been no word from ‘The View’.
However, Prime Timer has speculated, “All six co-hosts — Whoopi Goldberg, Joy Behar, Alyssa Farah Griffin, Sunny Hostin, Sara Haines, and Ana Navarro — are expected to return next season.” In addition to this, the source also revealed that Goldberg, Behar, and Hostin have signed multi-year extensions with ABC.
Haines co-hosted ‘The View’ from 2016-2018 after which she briefly left the talk show, and then returned in 2020. She has been a vital part of the show since. As everyone patiently waits for Haines to confirm her return in September, she is currently on the sets of ABC’s ‘What Would You Do?’
What is Haines' new project?
ABC’s ‘What Would You Do?’ was renewed for Season 16 in May 2023. The new season will premier around the same time as ‘The View’ Season 27. Haines, who has been spending her summer vacation with her family in Des Moines, Iowa, recently took to Instagram to share some news.
First, Haines posted a video of her on a set, without any indication of what the set was for as her story was captioned, “They really do let anyone here.”
A while after that, Haines reposted a video on her story where she sat in front of the cameras, and ‘What Would You Do?’ was tagged, which confirmed the set she was on. Apart from a few glimpses, there has been no information from Haines about her latest project with ABC.
