Is Priscilla Presley still a Scientologist? Actress's son Navarone Garibaldi makes startling revelation
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Priscilla Presley is no longer a Scientologist and reportedly left the Church of Scientology more than a decade ago, Priscilla's son Navarone Garibaldi Garcia said during a recent interview
He revealed that his mother did this in solidarity with her late daughter Lisa Marie Presley.
Navarone, who Priscilla shares with former partner Marco Garibaldi, made the revelation during a recent appearance on the 'Growing Up In Scientology' podcast.
The musician claimed that his mother made the shocking decision after Lisa Marie's rumored 2012 confrontation with Church of Scientology leader David Miscavige in Clearwater, Florida.
Navarone claimed that Priscilla had allegedly been "done" with Scientology since then, Radar Online reported.
What did Navarone Garibaldi say about Priscilla Presley's exit from the Church of Scientology?
During his appearance on the 'Growing Up In Scientology' podcast, Navarone claimed that Priscilla left the Church of Scientology shortly after Lisa Marie's rumored heated exchange with Miscavige.
"I think the second my sister left the office, she called my mom, and said, 'Mom I just did this, we're out. We're never going back,'" Navarone recalled. He also said that they had a family meeting at his grandparents' house that same night.
Podcast host Aaron Smith-Levin pointed out that a representative for Priscilla reportedly denied that she left Scientology in 2017, information which took Navarone by surprise.
"I think she might be a little bit afraid [of the church]," he alleged, adding that Priscilla is "cautious" when it comes to speaking out about personal matters, especially one related to the organization.
Navarone said he has never been declared an SP [suppressive person] in Scientology and clarified that he only went to the Church when his half-sister Lisa Marie and everyone was still involved.
He claimed that the Church likely sensed that he was not on board with the religion. Navarone also revealed that he told Priscilla about his interview and she said, "Oh, really?"
He said that his mother made a funny expression but never objected to the interview. Navarone further told Smith-Levin that Priscilla told him she never had a problem with it, clarifying that he meant Scientology.
Speaking about Priscilla's position in the Church of Scientology Navarone said, "She was treated as a very high-profile member." He then added, "I really don't want her to be associated with it."
Navarone also alleged that Priscilla was not as into the church once Miscavige came on board and speculated that she may have met founder L Ron Hubbard once in her life.
He also weighed in on his current relationship with his mother and said he loves her and that they are "really, really, really close."
What happened between Lisa Marie and David Miscavige?
Radar Online reported that it learned the showdown between Lisa Marie and Miscavige happened in 2014 after she confronted him over allegations about his own father, Ron, who Lisa Marie shared a close relationship with.
According to a previous report by the Daily Mail, Miscavige allegedly disconnected from his father after the latter fled the church in 2012. Ron was even banned from contacting his Scientologist daughters, Lori and Denise.
Lisa Marie, who was very close to Ron, reportedly sided with him and confronted Miscavige. In his new interview, Navarone said that he believed the incident happened sometime between 2012-2013.
Earlier this year, the Church of Scientology denied the incident and told Radar Online, "That's a bald-faced lie by those seeking to exploit this tragic event. It never happened β PERIOD."

When did Priscilla Presley join the Church of Scientology?
Karen de la Carriere, who was previously married to Scientology president Heber Jentzsch but left the church in 2010 after being a member for 35 years, once told the Daily Mail that Priscilla joined Scientology at the suggestion of John Travolta while she was mourning the 1977 death of her ex-husband Elvis Presley.
She claimed that Priscilla believed Scientology would also help control Lisa Marie's behavioral issues, which allegedly included experimenting with drugs, after the trauma she suffered from her father's death.
