The two grew up playing junior golf together in Colorado, and Spiranac has expressed admiration for Clark's unwavering determination to succeed. Clark was born and raised in Denver and attended school with Christian McCaffrey, currently a running back for the San Francisco 49ers. 

It was a major breakthrough for Clark at the 2023 US Open golf tournament, earning him $3.6 million. Not only did he defeat golf icon Rory McIlroy by one shot, but Clark also impressed spectators with his undeniable talent and composure. "I feel like I belong on this stage," he humbly remarked afterward. 

How is Paige Spiranac connected to Wyndham Clark? 

Spiranac admitted on Sunday, June 18, that she had a personal connection to Wyndham Clark, who defeated Rory McIlroy to win the 2023 US Open at the Los Angeles Country Club. During their junior golf days in Colorado, Spiranac and Clark played golf together and she also revealed that she and those around them knew there was something about Clark that would make him a winner.

"Wyndham Clark and I grew up playing junior golf together in Colorado," Spiranac tweeted. "Everyone would always say he had something special and we all knew he’d make it. Now he’s a major winner! Very cool moment," she added.

No, they aren't. Clark is in a relationship with Julia Kemmling. In a celebratory moment captured by cameras, Clark and Kemmling shared a kiss on the 18th green after his stunning victory. Kemmling has made her own mark in the golf world. She holds the record at Quinnipiac University for the best performance in a round on the NCAA with a 3-over par 75. Recently, she was also announced as the assistant coach for Quinnipiac women's golf team, working alongside head coach John O'Connor. 

Spiranac shared a beautiful message of congratulations and nostalgia for Wyndham Clark after his win at the 2023 US Open. Despite growing up playing golf together, there is no romantic relationship between Spiranac and Clark. Clark's partner is Julia Kemmling, a former college golfer who now coaches alongside John O'Connor for Quinnipiac women's golf team. The victory was a defining moment for Clark and further evidence of his exceptional talent on the golf course.

To which Spiranac replied to his comment, "I was adding a personal note to show how cool it is to watch someone be successful at every step of their career and how he was always a stand-out player even back at age 13."
