LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Lizzo was lauded for years for being an advocate for body positivity. However, after three of her former backup dancers sued her for sexual harassment, fat-shaming and creating a hostile work environment, the 'Juice' hitmaker's career may be in jeopardy. The 35-year-old singer is being sued by Arianna Davis, Crystal Williams and Noelle Rodriguez, who alleged that Lizzo forced them to perform obscene acts and that she "weight-shames" each of her dancers in private.

Beyonce seems to have canceled Lizzo during a recent performance while singing 'Break My Soul'. The song, an ode to Black women in the music industry, usually has Beyonce giving a shout out to Lizzo besides other legends including Lauryn Hill and Nina Simone. However, Beyonce did not say Lizzo's name during the performance after the allegations against the latter surfaced. While Lizzo's name was displayed on the screen behind Beyonce in several videos shared on X, the 41-year-old 'Single Ladies' singer replaced Lizzo with Erykah Badu, as per the New York Post.

'Cancel culture finally got Lizzo'

A lot of people lauded Beyonce. Netizens, particularly on X, began the #cancelLizzo trend. One person wrote, "Well that escalated cus whewwww child, just search “lizzo” on twitter! #CancelLizzo finally." A second user commented, "It’s about damn time to cancel fatphobic Lizzo." A third one exclaimed, "I think it’s time she is canceled can we all agree we are sick of her and her crappy music #lizzo #cancellizzo."

Another netizen chimed in, "She needs help . #LIZZO cancel this GURL NOW." Someone else exclaimed, "Y’all gotta help cancel Lizzo. Body shaming is not allowed." Another user noted, "Y’all better cancel Lizzo the same way y’all tried to cancel DaBaby." Another claimed, "Celebrity is such a fragile thing. Y’all don’t even need verification before you cancel folks like Lizzo." Several memes and funny videos also began circulating on X over the #cancelLizzo trend.

"The stunning nature of how Lizzo and her management team treated their performers seems to go against everything Lizzo stands for publicly, while privately she weight-shames her dancers and demeans them in ways that are not only illegal but absolutely demoralizing," the plaintiffs' attorney Ron Zambrano said in a statement.
