NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Is Leonardo DiCaprio dating the British ‘Love Island’ host Maya Jama? Rumors of an affair started doing the round ever since the couple partied in London during the Baftas.
The 48-year-old global superstar, however, denied the claim of dating the 28-year-old model and TV presenter, as claimed by a news agency.
The pair got introduced by mutual friends as the ‘Titanic’ star was in London during the Baftas. During the Bafta weekend, they partied together on two successive evenings in London. The two then came closer while in New York for work. Jama and the ‘Romeo + Juliet’ star were also spotted leaving the Le Piaf club in Paris with friends last month.

A source close to the superstar and the radio DJ told The Sun, “Maya and Leo are in regular contact and have been on a string of dates." Referring to their previous relationships, the source further added, "They have both recently come out of long-term relationships so neither of them are rushing into anything — they are having fun and seeing how it goes.”
The source also cited the issue of physical distance between the stars, saying that one of the reasons for Jama’s break up with her NBA star boyfriend Ben Simmons was distance too.
The source added, “They live in different countries and Maya has had a long distance relationship before and knows it’s tough, so they are taking things a day at a time. Leo has certainly been wooing her though, he loves spending time with her.”
According to Daily Mail, however, the Oscar winner has denied the claims of dating Jama. In February, another insider told the outlet, "He is not keen on the hype suggesting that he is seeking out these very young women,” referring to the rumor that DiCaprio only dates women under 25. The source further added, “He is looking for something more mature in the relationship department.”
DiCaprio's recent relationship
After breaking up with Camila Morrone just a few days after she turned 25, the 'Romeo' of Hollywood was linked to model Gigi Hadid, 27, but their alleged relationship 'fizzled out,' according to reports. In March, the two sparked new dating rumors when they were both spotted at the same Oscars after-party, Beyonce and Jay-Z's celebration at the renowned Chateau Marmont. Hadid was previously seen leaving a pre-Oscars event in Los Angeles where 'The Revenant' star was also present. A source told PEOPLE, "They are at very different places in life. She prioritizes being a mom," before adding, "It was never that serious anyway. It kind of just fizzled."
