LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Kel Mitchell recently shared a heartfelt update on his health following a "genuinely frightening" medical episode that led to his hospitalization in Los Angeles.
On Wednesday, November 8, the 45-year-old actor shared the update on his Instagram revealing that he is currently on the road to recovery.

What happened to Kel Mitchell?
According to OK Magazine, the Nickelodeon star was hospitalized on Tuesday night, November 7. However, the cause of the medical episode is currently unknown. Mitchell was transported to the facility via the emergency room.

He then told his 1.2 million followers that he was now home. "Grateful for the flood of prayers and positive vibes that surrounded me during a genuinely frightening time," he wrote.
"That scare was real, but so was the support. With the grace of God and the skill of the medical team, I’m now on the road to recovery at home, embraced by the love of my family," Mitchell added.
"Your kindness has been a lifeline, and I can’t thank you enough. Much love to each of you," he concluded his post to his fans.

Following his update, Mitchell received love and support in the comment section with actress Yvette Nicole Brown writing, "Glad you’re on the mend, friend!" while actor Damon Wayans Jr wrote, "Glad you’re feeling better my brother."
Mitchell's wife Asia Lee reshared his post on her Instagram Story.
The 'Good Burger' star has not yet revealed the reason behind his hospitalization.
He shares two children, a son Honor, three, and a daughter Wisdom, six, with Lee whom he married in 2012. The comedian is also a father to daughter Allure, 21, and son Lyric, 24 from his previous marriage to Tyisha Hampton.

Mitchell who was in the emergency room uploaded a trailer for 'Good Burger 2' which is set to release on November 22 and will premiere on Paramount+.

The film is a sequel to the fast food-themed comedy released in 1997 and would witness costars Mitchell and Kenan Thompson reuniting as characters Dexter and Ed.
