VIENNA, AUSTRIA: Concerts seem to be getting more dangerous by the day as performers keep on getting hit by random things. After artists like Drake, Kelsea Ballerini, and Bebe Rexha faced similar incidents in the past few weeks, Harry Styles became a part of the "infuriating" trend as he was struck onstage while performing in Vienna, Austria, on Saturday, July 8.

The 'As It Was' hitmaker, 29, who's close to wrapping up his protracted Love On Tour, was hit in the eye by a flying object, as seen in a video that has surfaced on the Internet. Styles can be seen walking while holding a microphone when something suddenly hit him in the eye, and through his expression, it was obvious that the star was in quite a bit of pain.

A little object flew and smacked the star in the eye, as seen in a video posted by Pop Crave, causing him to wince and then grasp his face with his hand. However, this is not the first time Styles has been hit with something while performing. Fans have reportedly been known to throw flowers and chicken nuggets at him, with one going as far as throwing Skittles at him in November 2022 during a Los Angeles concert. As of yet, Harry Styles hasn't come forward with any statement related to the incident that took place during his Vienna concert.

The 'Watermelon Sugar' singer is one of many musicians who have recently experienced concert-related injuries due to fans' careless and irrational actions. Bebe Rexha required sutures after an audience member hurled his phone at her that struck the performer in the head during a June event. In his statement to the Manhattan District Attorney's office, the alleged attacker Nicolas Malvagna said that he "was trying to see if I could hit her with the phone at the end of the show because it would be funny," as reported by Rolling Stone.

'Why's throwing stuff at people a trend now'

The Internet was enraged after seeing what happened to Styles during the Austria concert, with many criticizing the attack and calling it an "infuriating" trend given how many other celebrities had experienced it recently. A user tweeted, "The fact that this seems like a "trend" now is infuriating. Y'all are gunna take away live music from the people who actually care about the performers well being." Another wrote, "this is so weird, he literally doesn't deserve lol." "why's throwing stuff at people a trend now," noted another. "Why do people keep doing this, paying money for front row just to do this too. I'm tired of y'all," expressed an outraged fan, while another wrote, "people need to stop throwing things and respect artists, like it's getting tiring." "people are so nasty. first bebe and now harry? yall have no decorum," replied one stating their distaste for how unruly concertgoers are behaving.
