LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: George Stephanopoulos has a new career plan. The 62-year-old ‘Good Morning America’ star has recently turned into a producer with a documentary film called ‘Pretty Baby: Brooke Shields’ and earned himself an Emmy nomination in the process.
Along with his wife, Ali Wentworth who also served as an executive producer and starred in the documentary film, George’s exciting accomplishment outside his morning show duties is a new challenge and an opportunity for him. The exciting news came to George only a few days after he returned to the morning show following a Greece getaway with his wife. Having already set course on a new path for himself, the ‘GMA’ star’s recent accomplishment might propel him to more projects as a producer, making everyone beg the question: will George stay at ‘GMA’?

The 62-year-old political commentator has been an avid journalist all his life. The Brooke Shields’ documentary is George’s first foray into the world of producing and since the first venture has turned out to be a successful stint, the ‘GMA’ star will look to capitalize and build upon it. With his wife Ali Wentworth’s prior experience as an actress in the entertainment business and as a producer, George might think about taking a few more projects as a producer which in turn might keep him away from the ‘GMA’ studio at length.
However, nothing’s decided yet but the acceptance and validation of his job as a producer on ‘Brooke Shields: Pretty Baby', will set off a reaction or a decision that sees George spend less time at the morning show studios and more time at his production company named BedBy8.

George and Ali’s first Emmy nominations as producers
After the Emmy nominations were announced recently, Ali and George were over the moon. ‘Pretty Baby: Brooke Shield’ made the cut and received nominations. Ali posted a snap on her Instagram, thanking everyone associated with the project and captioned the post, “CONGRATULATIONS to our phenomenal director @lanawilson and amazing editors @matadorcontent for their #emmynominations for #PrettyBaby.” Sarah Jessica Parker commented, “Oh my gosh!!!! CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!! To all!! X” while ABC News correspondent Rebecca Jarvis wrote: “Yess!! So well deserved. Mariska Hargitay and Robin Roberts also sent congratulatory notes.
However, ‘Pretty Baby: Brooke Shields’ recently had another major moment on television. Ali recently revealed in one of her social media posts the documentary film was a ‘Jeopardy!’ question. The Emmys are scheduled for September 2023 and it will be worth the wait to witness whether George and Ali take away an invaluable award, kickstarting their journey as producers on a high.
