NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Scandal-ridden Republican politician George Santos recently attributed his dramatic weight loss to Ozempic, adding that he had lost over 92lbs in the course of the past eight months.

Santos was at a high-profile Manhattan party when he said that Ozempic had worked wonders for him. After his weight loss, he felt confident enough to challenge his arch-rival Mitt Romney to a "cage match", claiming he knew Jujutsu.

Why does Rep George Santos want to take on rival Mitt Romney in a 'cage match'?

When asked to challenge Romney to a fight similar to the one about to take place between Mark Zuckerberg and Elon Musk, Santos said that he was willing to challenge Romney to a "cage match."

Santos said, "I’d do that, but it wouldn’t be fair as I’m Brazilian, and I’d beat his butt because I studied jiu-jitsu for five years.”

Why is Rep George Santos under a 13-count federal indictment?

Santos' term as an elected representative from Long Island and Queens has been mired in controversy.

Federal prosecutors have charged him with 13 counts of money laundering, wire fraud, lying on federal disclosure forms, and stealing public money.

He appeared before a judge at a federal courthouse in Central Islip and pleaded not guilty to all charges.

Santos maintained that his prosecution was a witch hunt in disguise and that the accusations against him were politically motivated.

He stated that he was confident of fighting his own battles and was getting ready for re-election in 2024.

Who is Rep George Santos?
