Troubled by this resemblance, he felt compelled to address the issue directly to Musk, making a respectful request for clarification or potential changes to the logo design.

Tate emphasized the importance of not wanting to encourage future generations to engage in actions akin to historical figures like "Wallaces" or "Bruces" attempting to invade northern England. He respectfully addressed Musk, urging him to consider the implications of the logo and expressing that Scotland should have its freedom without the need for associations that could evoke contentious historical events.

Tate wrote, "Beginning to think Elon musk may be a Scottish nationalist. As Brits we need to stand up against this hatred. We don’t want to inspire the next generation of “Wallaces” or “Bruces” to invade northern England. Please @elonmusk… Scotland will be free, there’s no need for this."
