MURRAY, UTAH: 'Sister Wives' star Christine Brown took to Instagram on Wednesday night to upload a selfie of hers, wearing a bright pink top. The TV star talked about her concern of losing independence in monogamy in the caption.
It has been clear from the show that sister wives were almost self-dependent when they were in polygamy with ex-Kody Brown. However, Christine chose to part ways and start everything fresh with her now husband David Woolley.
The 51-year-old opted for a monogamous lifestyle and that was indeed a big change for the star. Christine wrote, "I was always concerned I would lose my independence in monogamy."
However, Christine did not take much time to realize that all it takes to stay happy in a marriage is a right person. She adds, "I realized the other day, being married to the right person (David for me!) that I am more independent than I ever was!"
A user commented on Chritisne's post, saying, "It has nothing to do with polygamy v monogamy. Kody was controlling and emotionally abusive. Even if you were monogamous with Kody, it wouldn’t be any different. You are now free in a loving relationship. Enjoy! You so deserve this. And may Robyn have the life she deserves."

Yes, Christine is now happily married to David. The star announced her engagement to David in April 2023.
She wrote on social media, "We’re engaged! David popped the question VERY romantically, and I said YES! I’m so excited and just live in bliss every day!"
The couple then tied the knot in October 2023. Christine uploaded a slew of photos from her wedding day, saying, "Loving life!! I got to marry my soulmate and it was a beautiful day. I’m just so overwhelmed with gratitude. Love you, My King."
Why did 'Sister Wives' star Christine Brown split with Kody Brown?
After more than 25 years of togetherness, Christine decided to part ways with Kody in 2021. She officially announced the news in November 2021.
Christine announced the news through her Instagram, saying, "Kody and I have grown apart and I have made the difficult decision to leave."
She added, "We will continue to be a strong presence in each other's lives as we parent our beautiful children and support our wonderful family."
Even though Christine did not state the exact reason of parting ways from polygamy but it was clear to fans from the show that Robyn Brown played a major part in their split.
Kody was more focussed towards his 4th wife Robyn, and that led to the fall of all other marriages.
