President Donald Trump's former reelection campaign manager Brad Parscale has announced that he is stepping down from his role after being detained by police and involuntarily getting hospitalized. He reportedly told Politico in a statement, "I am stepping away from my company and any role in the campaign for the immediate future to focus on my family and get help dealing with the overwhelming stress"

Parscale was hospitalized on September 27 after allegedly threatening to hurt himself, according to Politico. The report further states that his wife Candice denied her previous allegations of abuse against her husband and told the cops that her statement had been "misconstrued". Her statement reads, "Let it be clear my husband was not violent towards me that day or any day prior."

Candice reportedly called 911, saying her husband had barricaded himself inside the house with a gun, threatening to kill himself. On arriving at his residence, police coaxed Parscale out of his house. A body camera footage released by the Fort Lauderdale police department reported showed Trump's reelection campaign manager shirtless with a beer in hand when the law enforcement officers tackled him.

Even though Candice has denied facing any abuse from her husband's end, SWAT team member Steven Smith told in a statement to Politico, "when I asked how she received the bruising, Candace [sic] Parscale stated Brad Parscale hits her.”

All the guns and ammunition were seized from Parsacle's residence following an order by a Florida judge. The police revealed in a statement that "Mr. Parscale’s drinking and violent behavior increased shortly after he was demoted at his employment."

Parscale and wife Candice issued a joint statement on September 30, saying, "We extend our thanks for everyone’s thoughts and support during this difficult time for our family and we eagerly await all of the facts emerging.”

Soon people took to Twitter to express their opinion about Parscale's detention and Candice's latest statement denying the earlier alleged accusations against her husband. One Twitter user, who seemed concerned about Candice, wrote, "Sounds like Brad Parscale’s wife is a victim of abuse! First she said she was beaten by him with visible bruises and then retracted that she was not beaten by him! Typical scenario of a battered wife! He was also drinking heavily! @RawStory".

And another added, "Parscale's wife is walking back statements she made to police that he abuses her. This is so sad to me. I really hope she is OK. The cycle of abuse is so hard to break. Former Trump campaign manager Brad Parscale steps down from role as senior adviser" However, one user who didn't seem convinced with the reports stated, "None of what your saying had been reported by the police. His wife had no marks that was seen in the clip where she spoke to police. There is speculation he shot a gun but that hasn't been proven & his wife speculated it was but I go off evidence not speculation."
