'Winning candidate won't be there': Internet tells Jesse Watters they would watch Tucker Carlson and Trump interview rather than GOP debate
NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: The first GOP debate ahead of the 2024 presidential race is set to begin in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, on August 23, 2023 and Jesse Watters has taken over ‘Primetime’ to talk about how the Republican candidates need to distinguish themselves on stage.
As Watters reports about the debate for Fox News' ‘Primetime’, the internet is laser-focused on former Fox News anchor Tucker Carlson and former President Donald Trump.
Carlson revealed on X, formerly known as Twitter, that a pre-recorded interview with Trump will air 5 minutes prior to the GOP debate.
By the looks of it, people would rather watch Carlson’s Twitter than the GOP debate on Fox News.
Jesse Watters talks about GOP debate on Fox News
Jesse Watters took over his Twitter to share his segment from ‘Primetime’ about the GOP debate. He wrote, “We’re less than an hour away from the first Republican debate in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.”
Watters also explained the very origin of debates that can be traced back to ancient Greece.
In his tweet, Watters wrote, “If Republican candidates want to distinguish themselves tonight, here’s what they need to do. The winning candidate must have a vision, has to put policy over cheap shots, has to have sharp elbows on stage, must eviscerate Bidenomics and remember that Republican voters are craving authenticity. Desperation will be in the air tonight- we’ll see who comes out on top.”

Another user tweeted, "Most of us will be watching Trump on Tucker, but I suppose the second string candidates need a place to squawk too."
